D.E.C. (Version 5)

LEVEL BREAKDOWN

Collectibles

  • Bronze Pin (x2)l
  • Concept Art 38
  • Silver Pin

Note: The fifth and final version of the D.E.C. opens up if you use the Thinner path to get through Fort Wasteland. The D.E.C. (version 5) takes you to the start of the Floatyard.

Your last trip through the D.E.C. works similarly to previous versions. It is slightly longer than normal projector levels, and it allows the use of Paint, Thinner, and Sketches.

Directly to the right of where you start, Thin out the toy soldier and jump up to open the red chest, which contains a Bronze Pin.

To the left is a Battery Sphere and two large records. Leave the sphere for now. Thin out the records if you want, or just jump past them.

The second record has a large spinning flamingo that you need to pass under. After the second record, there is a jack-in-the-box that can spring you up. If you want some extra E-tickets, take the short tunnel to the left just above the spring.

Use the spring to jump all the way up to the book platform on the right. Paint in the missing block to the left and make the jump over to the now-closer ledge.

At the end of this ledge is another jack-in-the-box that can spring you up to a large platform on the left.

Collect Concept Art 38 on this platform before jumping to the crayon platform to the right.

The crayon platform will tilt toward whatever side you stand on. Stand on the left to point the right side upward, and make a running jump over to the hanging plane.

Repeat this technique on the plate platform to jump over to a red chest with another Bronze Pin.

Jump off the right side of this platform, down to another tilting plane platform. Past this a machine that needs the Battery Sphere to open a gate, so you need to fetch the sphere now. Stand on the plane to tilt one side and drop off the other wing.

Thin out the records if you haven’t already done so. Push the Battery Sphere to the left and avoid the spinning flamingo. Push the sphere onto the spring box and it will automatically shoot up to the top book platform. Follow the ball by jumping up from the spring box.

Use the Watch Sketch here to slow down time and make the next part much easier. There is a giant xylophone with huge mallets hammering down. Push the sphere across the xylophone while avoiding the slowed obstacles.

Pass over the plane platform, and push the sphere into the machine with the lightning bolt symbol on it. This activates a pie-throwing machine that hits the large face ahead, opening the gate.

You can jump on the gate being pushed upward and use it as a platform to move across a secret path to the last pin.

From the platform, jump onto the large red ball. There are a series of three large red balls that will bounce you up when you jump on them. You can take your time on these and bounce across to a set of mallets, each with a small red ball on the end.

The next set of five mallets will fall and strike the xylophone shortly after you stand on them. You only have a second or so to make the next jump, so move quickly on this part.

If you reach the end safely, there is a red chest with a Silver Pin. Drop down after you retrieve the pin.

From here, you can get the nearby chest and thin out the book to the right if you want to explore some more, but there are no more rare items.

When you are finished exploring the area, the exit to the Floatyard is the mouth of the Cheshire Cat float.
