“The first place we went to [get inspiration for Oswald] were the original Oswald cartoons as we’ve always been faithful to Disney history, and Oswald wasn’t going to be the exception; while there was limited material to work on, a lot of inspiration came from those, particularly his ability to remove his limbs as well as the idea to use his ears like a helicopter. Fans of the first game will remember that Oswald was looking for the remote control to set off the fireworks, so we were happy to bring that back and give him more control/power against the Beetleworx and Blotworx in the world.”

LEVEL OVERVIEW

Unlike the last time you went to Wasteland, this time you go voluntarily. After Gus builds a device to contact you through your television set, you arrive in Yen Sid’s Lab. As Mickey, you must navigate through the laboratory and recover the Magic Brush before you can rendezvous with ­Oswald, Ortensia, and Gus at Dark Beauty Castle in Wasteland.

• Wake up in your home
• Listen for Gus’s voice and find the TV
• Jump through the TV into Wasteland

As Mickey, you wake up in your bedroom. Take a quick stretch and look around your house. Everything appears normal until you hear the faint sound of Gus’ voice coming from the next room. At this point, you don’t have your Magic Brush, so there’s nothing to do but locate Gus’ voice.

Leave the bedroom and enter the kitchen area. Turn left toward the living room. The TV is on, and you’ll see Gus attempting to contact you from Wasteland through the TV signal. Approach the TV set.

Gus explains that they need your help again in Wasteland. Without a second thought you dive through the TV screen.
