Later that day, Nathan peruses Jameson’s documents for the Malaysia job in his attic office space at home. Yes, it looks intriguing…but he resists the urge, files them away “with the others,” and stands up. Now you’re in control again. Let’s explore and look for clues to the guy’s life.

Explore Nathan’s Attic
Start looking around for Examine icons (the magnifying glass). Pick up and explore anything you can find. First, let’s work down the side of the attic starting at Nathan’s desk.
Here’s an inventory of the stuff on the other side of the attic, opposite Nathan’s work desk.
Practice Shooting
Grab the New Weapon, the blue Toy Gun from a holster hanging on the ornate room divider and start shooting targets. This gives you a stress-free way to practice aiming, shooting, and collecting ammo in the game. Remember: hold in the L2 trigger to aim, and pull the R2 trigger to shoot. Look for blue cylinders of Toy Gun ammo—approach them and press
to collect them.
After you shoot a few targets, you eventually hear a female voice from downstairs, calling Nate down for dinner. If you’re finished exploring the attic, open the trap door on the floor. Descend from the attic to the top floor of the house.
Explore the Second Floor
Start exploring the rooms, examining any items marked by icons. Here’s what you can find.
Explore the First Floor
When you’re done poking around upstairs, head down to the first floor. Has Nathan Drake really settled down? It’s the very picture of modern domesticity: fireplace, tasteful wall art, recycling bins, spice rack, gas barbecue on the back patio. You’ll find Nate’s wife Elena Fisher sitting on the living room sofa, working on her laptop. You can’t interact with her until you bring her some dinner.
Deliver Dinner to Elena
Two bowls of a freshly made pasta dinner sit on the counter next to the stove in the kitchen. Pick them up and approach Elena on the sofa to give her one. This triggers a long cutscene: Nathan and Elena discuss his work, her work, and other things. But Nathan finds himself staring at a framed photo on the fireplace mantel: a beach on an exotic, faraway land. When Elena jabs him and asks what her article is about, you can pick any one of the three choices.
Nathan admits he’s distracted by the prospect of Jameson’s Malaysia job offer; Elena encourages him to take it and call Sullivan, who he hasn’t seen in two years. Eventually, like all married couples, the two end up locking horns in a PlayStation videogame.
Play a Retro GaME
Have some good old-fashioned fun playing a retro game. When the game’s character gets KO’d the third time, you return to Nathan and Elena and watch them wrap up the scene.
Very early the next morning, Nathan stamps some paperwork at the Jameson Marine office when someone knocks on the door. Nathan is not prepared for the visitor: Sam Drake, his lost brother, alive. First, Sam asks Nathan to bring him up to date on his life. You can choose where to start: El Dorado, Shambhala, or Iram of the Pillars. Then Sam tells his own story, one that starts back in Panama with his cell mate, a fellow named Hector Alcazar…
