Mafia III eGuide Story Missions

RIVER ROW: Fish Gotta Eat

Mission: “Get Michael Grecco”

This chapter becomes available once you’ve secured both the Union Extortion and Contraband rackets in River Row. Now you’re ready to hunt down the district boss, Marcano’s lieutenant and nephew, Michael Grecco.

Prerequisite: “Union Extortion” and “Contraband” Rackets Both Secured!

Meet Vito

Find Vito Scaletta sitting in his car (1) down in southwest River Row. Talk to him to learn that Michael Grecco is holed up in a shack just down the road. But just as Vito and Lincoln make their move, a carload of Marcano’s men beats them to the punch. Grecco escapes through a window and starts driving away!

Get Grecco

Follow Grecco’s car as it makes the jump over a broken bridge (2) then turns left onto the main street and speeds north. Unfortunately, two carloads of Marcano’s goons take up the pursuit too, and they consider you part of the problem. Your best bet is to focus on Grecco up ahead. Stay close, and try to shoot his tires to disable his car quickly. When Grecco hops out of the car to run, shoot and incapacitate him so he drops to one knee.

Kill Marcano’s Men

Now you can focus on the other pursuers. Eliminate both carloads of Marcano’s thugs as they pull up, if you can. Try to toss grenades at their cars before the occupants hop out and deploy. You can take out multiple targets in a wide radius when a car explodes. Remember that Vito is helping you in this gun battle.

Confront Grecco

Approach the fallen Grecco and hold the button shown to trigger a quick cutscene: Vito points out that the police are closing in, and Lincoln hauls Grecco into the car.

Lose the Police

Cut tight corners, swerve through oncoming traffic, and shoot narrow gaps to cut off pursuing cruisers. Accelerate hard when you hit long straightaways. Keep an eye on the Minimap—use it to avoid approaching blue cop blips, and keep steering away from the center of the Police Awareness radius.

Head Back to Vito’s

When you finally ditch the cops, follow the trip route back to Vito’s waterfront hideout (4). Your arrival triggers a cinematic: under some duress, Grecco spills the beans about Sal Marcano’s casino plans. Then Vito suggests that Lincoln contact Alma Diaz, a Cuban smuggler, and work with her for extra money. This opens up the Optional Mission in River Row, “Seems Simple Enough.”
