Meet Donovan to Get Into Remy’s Wake
Travel up to the entrance road to the Retrousse Yacht Club and find Donovan’s blue van (1) parked down a short lane just off the road. The van has new signage: “Ms. Ya-Ya’s Restaurant & Catering.” Open the passenger side door; Donovan says Olivia Marcano is in the country club.
This triggers a series of cutscenes: first, Donovan tells the Senate hearing what he suspects about Olivia’s motivations. Then you see a scene between Sal and his sister-in-law: as it turns out, Remy Duvall’s will has bequeathed the casino land to an unknown nephew, Stephen Degarmo, tossing a magnum-size monkey wrench into Sal’s plans. Finally, Donovan explains to the Senators how Lincoln, dressed as a waiter, snuck into the country club for Remy’s wake.
Infiltrate Remy’s Wake
Donovan delivers Lincoln to the service entrance. Just walk inside the door. Easiest objective so far—but don’t let that dampen your feeling of accomplishment.
Go to the Manager
Veer rightward to meet the manager, who’s talking to an employee. Follow the manager through the kitchen area.
Dose the Wine Bottle
When you reach the pantry, the manager moves ahead to direct wine pourers into the reception. Approach each of the three wine bottles sitting on the counter and hold the button indicated to spike it with the syringe of LSD solution. Lincoln picks up the third bottle after you dose it.
Serve the Manager
When the manager returns, he’s holding a wineglass. Approach him to pour some of the spiked wine into his glass.
Serve the Mourners
Move out onto the floor. Approach marked attendees holding empty glasses and serve them wine as Olivia Marcano speaks to the crowd.
Serve Olivia’s Bodyguards
After Olivia’s speech ends, follow the objective markers to three of her bodyguards (the fellows in the light-colored suits) and serve them wine too.
Take a Smoke Break
After you serve the third bodyguard, follow the objective marker back into the kitchen area to see how the dosed wine is affecting the manager. Continue back through the kitchen until you reach the threesome of workers near the exit door who invite Lincoln to smoke with them. This break gives the dosages time to work out on the floor.
Follow Olivia
Head back through the kitchen and out into the reception area again. Things have changed a bit. Spot Olivia Marcano on the first landing of the staircase and follow her upstairs with the one bodyguard who didn’t drink spiked wine. Follow them upstairs and into the back office.
Put Down the Wine Bottle
Olivia tells Lincoln to put the bottle on the bar. Approach the bar and hold down the button displayed to set down the bottle.
Kill Olivia’s Bodyguards
Use Intel View for a quick survey of the room. Everybody here including Olivia is a target. Pick up the Masterson Phoenix pistol just to the right on the bar’s lower shelf, and open fire. Use the bar for cover and gun down all of the guards.
Subdue Olivia
Olivia is tough and hard to hit. Shoot until you incapacitate her and she goes down on one knee.
Confront Olivia
Approach Olivia and hold the button prompted to trigger a cinematic: Lincoln is relentless at first as he seeks information from Olivia. But in the end, out of pity and disgust, he shows her mercy.
Find Stephen Degarmo
Exit the side door into a service corridor where you can raid a couple of Weapon Lockers. Then kick open the exit door in that corridor and take down the guard waiting on the other side.
Take cover just down the walkway and whistle for the guard at the far end to lure him for a silent takedown. Sneak up on a second guard with his back to you for another takedown.
Head down the staircase at the end of the walkway and open the door at the bottom to trigger a cutscene: poor Stephen Degarmo is facing some mob coercion tactics to sign over the land he received in the Remy Duvall’s will.
Rescue Stephen Degarmo
Degarmo is across the courtyard, about 80 meters away. A quick Intel View scan reveals a number of hostile mobsters out in the courtyard garden. Check out our overhead shot to get a wider perspective on where you start and where you finish at the toolshed where Degarmo is being held.
You start at the doorway (A). Move out and veer to the left toward the open rotunda (B) up on a raised patio. Again, the courtyard is crawling with gunmen. Your goal is to work along the far wall to reach a side path via the open exit gate (C) then turn left and get into the toolshed (D).
There are many ways to move across this space. By now you should have developed a favorite approach. Use it! Sneak all the way using stealth and silent takedowns, if you want. Or gun down every miserable goodfella roaming the garden. Note that several gunmen are posted near the exit gate you’re trying to reach.
When you finally reach the toolshed’s garden entrance door, kick it open and immediately open fire on the torturing goon inside. Then approach poor Stephen Degarmo to untie him.
Escape with Degarmo
Open the exit door to the driveway and get into Degarmo’s red De’Leo Stiletto, a nimble vehicle for escape purposes. Wait until Degarmo gets in the passenger seat and then drive past the funeral hearse, smashing directly through the Duvall portrait next to it. Police cars arrive as you pull out into the main driveway. Turn right at the barricade and barrel through the yacht club’s entrance gate, swerving to avoid arriving police vehicles.
Lose the Cops
By now you should be proficient at evading police pursuit. Use your police dispatcher associate (if available) to call off the chase once you get off the yacht club grounds onto the city streets. Once you get out of the Police Zone, you get a new objective.
Get Degarmo to Donovan
Follow the new trip route to the destination marker in the parking lot of the Briar Patch restaurant (3)(next to the Lautner’s store). Donovan waits for you there in his surveillance van.
Your arrival triggers a series of chapter-ending cinematics, including a look at Olivia Marcano’s unfortunate hospital recuperation, and Sal Marcano’s realization that he must make an uncomfortable phone call.
Assign Frisco Fields to an Underboss
Then the scene switches to another sitdown at the bayou mansion. Assign the newly acquired Frisco Fields district to one of Lincoln’s Underbosses. Feathers will be ruffled, but that’s the price of admission for the show that Lincoln is now running.
