Named for a Civil War–era soldier and landowner, the tendril trees have taken control of this nature park, which comprises the lookout, wilderness, and campground (workshop) areas. The wilderness area consists of two lodges: one to the east, with a gift shop and a locked armory closest (2), and the other on higher ground to the west.
