What are Yo-kai?
Yo-kai are strange spirit-like beings that normal people cannot see. They love pranks and causing trouble. They have mysterious powers that bring luck, both good and bad, to the humans around them. If somebody’s acting weird, it just might be a Yo-kai trick!
The Eight Yo-kai Tribes
Yo-kai are divided into eight tribes, each with its own unique set of traits.
These cool, courageous creatures excel at fighting, especially physical combat.
With weird shapes and sizes, they are hard to predict and are strong in Yo-kai Techniques.
Rugged in body and spirit, they pair sturdy defense with powerful guarding abilities.
While very cute and even cuddly in appearance, they nevertheless tend to be speedy and sharp in combat.
These kind, full-hearted Yo-kai are infused with generous healing abilities.
These dark-hearted Yo-kai often bring out the worst behavior in nearby humans.
An odd, creepy-looking tribe, they are masters of inflicting status ailments.
These independent, free-thinking spirits have slimy, snakelike features. It’s hard to grab these guys!
