Four very strong Yo-kai emerge into the world once you complete the game’s story. Their powers are substantial, rivaling the toughest bosses. When roaming Springdale and whereabouts after the story is finished, you can challenge each of the four as many times as you wish, making them perfect for testing your skills or leveling up. You can even earn their friendship if you defeat them, adding their medals to your Medallium!
The only drawback is that, win or lose, you can fight only one of these enhanced Yo-kai per real day. This 24-hour period is reset every morning when the internal clock on your 3DS hits 6:00 am.

Hungry Pass
You will not be able to visit this area until you’ve reached Watch Rank S.
Grainpa’s technique, Soultimate Move, and Inspirit are all restorative, so be prepared for a long and grueling fight. Rice’s Kindness is particularly troublesome, allowing Grainpa to Inspirit himself and restore HP every turn. One effective way to combat this is to use Greesel in your party to steal the effect from the enemy.
On the offensive side, Grainpa’s Headsmack attack is quite damaging. However, it can be rendered useless if you’ve got Baddinyan with a sticker of hate on your side; his Pompadour skill is able to dodge the attack!

Byrd House—Hidden Room
This battle is available after you complete Request 100, “Bird Collection 2.”
In quick, back-to-back strikes, this tough Yo-kai can fire off Despair, his immobilizing Inspirit, and then follow up with Meet the Reaper, a powerful Soultimate Move that reduces your full party’s stats. You’ll want Yo-kai on your team with skills like Matchless Shell (Almi and Spenp) and Miraculous Scales (Enerfly, Enefly, Betterfly, or Peppillon) that nullify Inspirit attacks.

Old Mansion—Side House Attic
Once the gate to the Old Mansion’s Side House is open, you can gain access to its attic by talking to a man on the second floor of Gourd Pond Museum.
This S-Rank warrior is an honorable fellow, and his Stab Storm hits with extremely high attack power. In addition to normal attacks hitting five times, the critical hit rate of this Ticket to Hades Soultimate Move is very high, making this battle one in which you’re likely to suffer heavy damage. Make sure you have a lot of food on hand and are accompanied by Yo-kai that can restore HP.

Location:
Springdale Underground Waterway
You won’t be able to fight Awevil until you’ve opened all three floodgates!
Awevil is the strongest of the four special event Yo-kai. His Darkness Power is likely to give you the biggest trouble, as he uses this ability to continually steal HP from your team. And his Soultimate Move, called Pitch Black Curse, will immobilize and inflict damage on your entire party.
Finally, his Ultimate Dark skill is unavoidable—its Inspirit success rate is 100%—and it can completely nullify the likes of Matchless Shell or Miraculous Scales. Move any Inspirited Yo-kai to your back line and purify immediately to minimize the damage inflicted.
