PvP Play

PvP (player versus player) play lets you to pit a team of six of your Yo-kai allies against another player’s Yo-kai squad. These encounters are basically the same as ordinary Yo-kai combat but with a few exceptions. Commit these to memory to avoid getting confused in the heat of battle!

Differences from Normal Play

No Items! Zero Soul! Full HP!

The biggest change from a normal match is that PvP players cannot use food and talisman to buff up or restore their Yo-kai allies. Also, no matter the condition of your Yo-kai prior to battle, they always start a PvP match with full HP and their Soul Meter at zero. These restrictions affect your choice of Yo-kai for a PvP fighting team.

Since you can’t use food to replenish HP, you want to include at least one Yo-kai with healing abilities in your team. And because you can’t use items to restore soul power, Soultimate Moves aren’t available until the battle has progressed a bit. This makes a character like Venoct very valuable—his Venocharge skill charges his Soul Meter faster! The first player with enough soul for Soultimate Moves can gain a distinct advantage.

No Wheel Spin for Three Seconds!

Once you spin the Yo-kai Wheel to change your front line during PvP combat, the wheel cannot be moved again for at least three seconds after it stops. (You see a three-second timer counting down in the middle of the wheel.) This makes the arrangement of your team more important. Avoid getting stuck with a front line with low HP and no healer!

The three-second countdown appears in the middle of your Yo-kai Wheel. You can’t spin again until it hits zero.

Choose from up to 29 battle maps. The number of maps available increases as you make your way through the game.

You can increase your rank more rapidly if you beat opponents ranked higher than you.
