Selecting a Nation/Unit

There are twelve units to choose from. Your choice here determines which assaulter unit is unlocked first as well as the unique unlock progression of your multiplayer career.

When you begin multiplayer you are prompted to choose a nation and unit to represent. Don’t make this decision lightly. The nation and unit you choose to represent will determine which assaulter unit you unlock first. For example, if you choose to represent the Swedish SOG, you’ll start with the Swedish SOG assaulter—usually this unit isn’t available until you reach higher ranks. In this sense, selecting a unit like the Norway FSK/HJK or Russian Spetsgruppa Alfa allows you to unlock assaulter units (and the G3 assault rifle) that are off-limits to new players who select other nations/units at the beginning. Make your decision carefully based largely on the type of assault rifle and attachments you’d like to unlock first. All other differences between the units are purely cosmetic.
