Lin is having a bit of trouble with some machinery she’s tended, and her engineer’s pride won’t let her rest easy about it.
New Affinity Mission: The Repair Job
Team up with Lin and fix the electrical fault.
Objective 1
Talk to Bart at NLA’s West Gate.
Objective 2
Gather three L-002 power cables in Primordia’s Starfall Basin.
The good news is that the radar tells you the areas where you gather these parts in nearby treasure chests. The bad news is that there are some heavy-hitting Ganglion Skells over there (around~level 50!). Stay clear of the Skells as you look for the power cables.
Objective 3
Talk to Bart at NLA’s West Gate.
Bart is actually above the west gate, where you came through on your first time to New LA.

The Repair Job: Extra Objectives
NOTE: If you choose "Persist", you'll go on an extra set of objectives to collect:
- Five white cometites
- Two energy tubes from puges in Primordia
- Four cruise deflector AiRs in Oblivia.
Be sure to check the Bestiary and Collectible Locations sections in the Data chapter for the above.
Here are the objectives as stated in the game from that point onward:
Objective 1
Achieve all objectives:
- Use FrontierNav to gather five white cometites.
- Gather two energy tubes from puges in Primordia.
- Gather four cruise deflector AiRs in Oblivia.
Objective 2
Talk to Bart at NLA’s West Gate.
Gathering Info:
- The deflector collectibles can be gotten from our Collectible Locations maps.
- White Cometites are a resource and thus should be mined for via FrontierNav (Sites 110, 115 and 118 all yield it).
- Finally, the best place for puges in Primordia (for the energy tubes) can be found in Seaswept Base, directly south of the FN Site 119 fast travel point in southeast Primordia. They're the Pawn Puges close to where players fight Glennar in Chapter 3.
