The Evil Within 2 Guide › Basics

Upgrading Skills

Last, but certainly not least, we wrap up our Basics chapter with a quick look at the skills upgrade process. The only way to upgrade your skills is to sit in the wheelchair in the corridor outside Sebastian’s Room. Doing this transports Sebastian to Nurse Tatiana’s place. There, swivel to face the whiteboard and select Upgrade.

You can purchase skill upgrades in five areas:

  • Health: Improve physical durability and increase your health meter
  • Athleticism: Improve stamina and evasion
  • Recovery: Improve how fast you recover health, and how much
  • Stealth: Improve concealment and sneakiness
  • Combat: Improve firearm use and melee attacks

Upgrade the skills that match how you like to play. If you enjoy wading into combat and fighting monsters face to face, boost your Combat and Recovery skills. If you like to evade monsters or Sneak Kill them, focus on improving your Athleticism and Stealth skills. And regardless of your play style, you can always use Health upgrades.
