The Story So Far
Three years ago, Police Detective Sebastian Castellanos was called to the scene of a brutal slaughter in Krimson City’s main psychiatric hospital, Beacon Mental Hospital.
At first glance, it looked like the work of a twisted mass murderer, but soon Sebastian was trapped in something darker, stranger, and more frightening that he could have ever imagined.
Sebastian was unknowingly connected to a machine called STEM which creates a world for all those connected to share a consciousness. At the center of this world was a madman named Ruvik. A shadowy organization known as Mobius had developed this STEM technology for their own unknown purposes, but Ruvik took control to create his own nightmarish reality.
Sebastian managed to survive his STEM immersion and escape from the monsters and horrors born from Ruvik’s mind. However, Sebastian’s run-in with Mobius and STEM had really only just begun…

Since the incident at Beacon Mental Hospital, Sebastian has been a tortured man. He lost his family, his partners, his job, and his faith in anything good. After three years of a frenzied search for the truth, Sebastian is now broken: lost in drink and inescapable dark visions. But then his ex-partner Kidman suddenly appears out of the blue. Lily Castellanos
Sebastian thought his beloved daughter perished in a house fire years ago. But it turns out that Mobius considered Lily’s pristine consciousness to be the perfect Core for a new STEM world. Sebastian failed to save Lily once. Can he find her and redeem himself?

Julian Sykes
Sykes is the team coding nerd. Nobody knows STEM software better. If you help Sykes out of a jam when you first meet, he’ll have a couple of side missions for you. If you don’t, he’ll be dead.
Yukiko Hoffman
Hoffman is the team shrink. She keeps an eye on everything via a surveillance network linked into her Safe House. Get her help profiling the psychos trying to snatch Lily.
Esmeralda Torres
Torres is not a member of the initial search team you were trying to find, but she’s survived inside of Union until now and is a straight-up badass. She isn’t surprised to find Sebastian, and knows more about what happened within STEM than anyone thus far.
