FINAL MOMENTS
At the Bradbury Swimming Pool, William and Jack use the Time Machine to return to what, for Jack, is the present day, a little after his point of departure at Monarch HQ. When they do, they find the pool full of Monarch operatives—Serene has finally discovered William’s hideout, and has arrived in force.
Jack has a final encounter with Serene. It’s clear Serene’s too far gone to see reason. He won’t let Jack try to use the countermeasure to fix the Fracture. And Jack won’t let Serene stop him. The two clash violently. Eventually, Jack kills Serene.
With time literally running out, Jack and William start to prepare the countermeasure. Even as the device starts to work, Serene suddenly gets up—but not as Serene. The Chronon Syndrome has finally run its course, and Serene has changed into a shifter. He attacks Jack and William in a blind fury, but before he can connect, the countermeasure suddenly activates, rebuilding the Meyer-Joyce Field. Serene/the shifter is blasted back, and, unable to exist outside of a stutter, disappears—but not before Serene himself appears again for a short instant.
Picking themselves up off the floor, the Joyce brothers conclude that the Fracture is done. They have managed the impossible against all odds. But as William concentrates on the burned-out remains of the countermeasure, Jack suddenly realizes that the energies from the device have changed him, like they changed Serene six years earlier. He now has the early symptoms of the Chronon Syndrome. And like Serene, he sees a sudden vision of time ending.
Jack managed to save his brother, and together they managed to keep the universe ticking. But for how long? And at what cost?

Bradbury Swimming Hall October 9th, 2016 7:05 AM—three hours after fracture in time.
Will and Jack arrive in Nick’s taxi at the Bradbury Swimming Hall. Will apologizes that he kept Jack in the dark. He said that when he started his work, Jack had been so young. Jack says he gets it. He just wants to go to the future to fix this mess.
As Jack is exploring outside, he feels a Chronon source near the shed.
Will opens the front door to the building and they walk inside. Surprisingly, Jack asks Will that as he hid the machine here, if he’d really never used it himself. Will tells Jack that he hadn’t, that it was too dangerous.
After entering the building, Jack walks up the stairs.
After checking out the upstairs, Jack comes back down to proceed toward the Time Machine in the basement.
When Jack comes back downstairs, Will is waiting for him at the double doors, which have been rusted shut.
Once through the doors, follow Will and wait for him to unlock the door in the locker room.
Head through the doorway and turn right, then continue around the corner to the showers.
After regaining control, walk through the Time Machine.
Once you reach the exit, a Time Stutter hits, freezing Will in place. Take out the technicians waiting around the pool.
Serene arrives!
Take out Serene
After killing Paul and watching the cutscene, follow Will down into the center of the pool.
