Stomp the Koopa at Point 1 and grab its shell. Dodge the incoming fireballs as you continue to the right.
After you drop down from the next platform, face left and throw the shell at the Block on the lava’s surface. Grab the 1-Up Mushroom as it emerges to prevent it from falling into the lava.
The first Star Coin is located in a hidden area. To find it, wall jump up to the red pipe at Point 2.
Soon after you pass through the pipe, a spiked ball begins smashing all of the Blocks in the area. Dodge the incoming fireballs as you dash along the Blocks to the right, then leap up to collect the Star Coin near the end of the area.
The second Star Coin is sealed in an enclosure at Point 3. Jump up to the edge of the nearby platform to tilt it down toward the Star Coin. This causes the spiked ball to roll toward the enclosure. Just before the spiked ball reaches you, jump out of the way. After the enclosure is destroyed, drop down and collect the Star Coin.
The third Star Coin is floating between the spiked balls at Point 4. Tilt the lower platform toward the Star Coin, then make a running leap to collect it. Try to land directly on the platform’s pivot point to avoid disturbing the spiked balls.
