New Super Mario Bros 2 Guide › Enemies

Gold Creatures

Gold Goombas

All varieties of Gold Goombas behave exactly as they do in their normal forms. Aside from its appearance, the only difference is the coin reward you receive for stomping the gold enemy.

Gold Koopas

After you stomp a Gold Koopa, throw its shell to generate additional coins. A Gold Shell not only earns a coin bonus for each enemy it knocks out of its way, it also leaves a coin trail as it moves through the area.

Gold Bros.

Instead of throwing their weapons at you, Gold Bros. throw coins.

Gold Piranha Plant

When you defeat a Gold Piranha plant, a fountain of coins erupts from the vacant pipe.

Gold Cheep Cheep

As it moves through the area, a gold Cheep Cheep drags a trail of coins behind it.

Gold Boo

Gold Boos turn and flee from you, leaving coin trails behind them.

Gold Big Boo

Gold Big Boos turn and flee, leaving massive coin trails behind them.

Gold Bullet Bill

As a Gold Bullet Bill flies through the area, it creates a trail of coins.

Gold Banzai Bill

As a Gold Banzai Bill flies through the area, it creates a massive trail of coins.

Gold Lakitu

Instead of throwing Spiny Eggs, a Gold Lakitu throws coins. When you commandeer a Gold Lakitu’s cloud, it generates coins as you move through the area.
