Unless you bring a Super Leaf into the level, you’ll need some help to collect the first Star Coin. Stomp the Koopa at Point 1, jump through the Gold Ring, then toss the shell down the hill.
Slide down the hill to keep the Gold Shell in sight, but make sure you keep your distance. You need the shell to smash the Block at the bottom of the hill, so don’t slide into the shell until it does. After the impact, the shell bounces back towards you. Slide through the shell, into the opening, and right to the Star Coin.
Pass through the Red Ring at Point 2, then collect the red coins as they parachute down along the path to the right.
After you collect the sixth red coin, slide down the hill and under the nearby platform to grab the last two coins before they drift out of reach.
The second Star Coin is floating above the Piranha Plants at Point 3. You must make a running leap to collect the Star Coin. If you’ve managed to hang on to a Fire Flower, clear the enemies from the area before you attempt your jump!
The third Star Coin is floating high above the ground. To find it, jump onto the large platform at Point 4.
Follow the steps to the top of the platform, then make a running leap up to the Star Coin.
The pipe at Point 5 leads to a hidden area. Aside from the Piranha Plants guarding the pipe, you’ll find some enemies inside the hidden area. If you’ve managed to hang on to a Fire Flower, make sure you use it to clear out any problematic enemies.
