Many of this level’s secrets are hidden high above the ground. To reach them, stomp a Lakitu and use its cloud to explore the surrounding area.
Stomp the Lakitu at Point 2 and use its cloud to follow the coins above you. When you reach the ? Switch, use it to initiate a shower of coins from the nearby pipes.
It’s easier to collect the Star Coin at Point 3 if you defeat the surrounding Piranha Plants first. If you ride a Lakitu’s cloud up to the nearby Gold Ring, you can earn some extra coins as you clear a path to the Star Coin.
The second Star Coin is located in a hidden area. To find it, stomp the Lakitu near the Checkpoint Flag and use its cloud to reach the P Switch at Point 4. Hit the P Switch, then follow the trail of blue coins to find a green pipe.
Enter the pipe to find the hidden area. Stomp the Koopa, grab its shell, then jump through the Gold Ring. Toss the Gold Shell to automatically collect the Star Coin while simultaneously clearing out the remaining enemies.
There’s a Red Ring located at Point 5. Before you pass through it, stomp the nearby Lakitu to gain a fresh cloud—you’ll need it to collect the red coins that appear to the right.
The third Star Coin is located in a hidden area. Stomp the Lakitu near the end of the level, then take its cloud to the small yellow platform at Point 6. Fly straight up to find another green pipe.
After you pass through the pipe, stomp one of the Lakitus guarding the hidden area. After you do, use its cloud to reach the Star Coin to the right.
