Snipers have sluggish handling characteristics and poor hip fire, making them a bad choice up close. But at medium to long range, they can lock down a sightline, preventing enemies with shorter-range weaponry from retaliating. A sniper rifle with the Ironsights attachment can function at shorter ranges. Just keep in mind that the Ironsights attachment demands pinpoint accuracy so that you don’t fall to rapid-fire weapons up close.
