Choosing the correct weapon for the job at hand is a big part of doing well in Multiplayer. Taking a sniper rifle into a map with a lot of fighting in close quarters around objectives isn’t going to do you any favors. Trying to use an SMG on Overwatch defending an objective area from long-range attackers won’t work, either.
Use the correct weapon for a particular situation, and you will thrive in Multiplayer. Improving your aim and reaction time comes with practice, but selecting the proper weaponry before a match begins gives you an edge before the first round is fired. Remember that when you construct a build with a weapon, your Perks and equipment should support your intended usage. Whether you plan on fighting in CQC, at long range, or playing an all-rounder role, it’s important to focus your build.
Unique Weaponry
Call of Duty®: Advanced Warfare has a host of weapons, and within each weapon class, almost every gun in the game has at least one unique trait. Beyond the statistical differences that define the baseline behavior of a weapon, you can find many interesting traits in this game’s arsenal.
There are weapons that shoot slower or faster over time, fire four- or five-round bursts, print ammunition, fire beams of directed energy, stabilize as they fire, or display many other traits. While some of these traits have a small impact on the performance of a weapon, others define a gun’s personality.
Examine the entire arsenal at your disposal: explore, experiment, and find your favorites. Use this chapter to guide your exploration and help you narrow down your choices between your favorite weapons.
