Launchers have several important roles, particularly when paired with defensive Perks. When used with Perks that conceal you from AI Scorestreaks, you can destroy hostile streaks safely, with little danger of being targeted (sometimes even by player-controlled streaks).
Launchers can also be used with grenades and other explosives alongside the Danger Close Perk to create a powerful explosive offense that you can direct against enemy objectives and defensive positions.
