Thief eGuide Client Jobs

Client Job Walkthroughs

Client jobs are just like mini-missions: You must infiltrate a specific area in order to complete your objective. Because client jobs are somewhat involved, the following walkthroughs are set up just like the walkthroughs for the main story missions. You’ll find all of the same elements, including the following:

Chapter Stats

Each client job walkthrough begins with a comprehensive list of stats pertaining to the mission at hand. Here’s what the stats mean:

Collectible Loot Items: The number of collectibles to be found in the mission. These special pieces of loot are showcased in the Journal’s “Collectibles” page. Due to the collectibles’ rarity, special boxes appear to spotlight them whenever they can be obtained.

Common Loot Items: The number of common loot items to be found in the mission. This includes all goods that you can fence for gold, such as cups, pens, candlesticks, gears, and so on. Because there are so many common loot items to find, special checklists and progression flags appear in the walkthrough to help you track them all down.

Pockets to Pick: The total number of pickpocketing opportunities you have during the mission. Challenge yourself to pick every pocket!

Locks to Pick: The total number of locks that you can pick during the mission. This includes locked doors, safes, boxes, chests, and so on. Gotta pick ’em all!

Threats (Guards/enemies): The total number of threats encountered in the mission (guards and other enemies). Civilians and caged birds/dogs are not counted, as they can’t actually harm you.

Thieving Challenges Tables

These tables provide information on the client job’s unique Thieving Challenges. Fulfilling these optional challenges can earn you significant amounts of bonus gold, as detailed in the opening “Thieving Challenges” tables.

Collectible and Document Boxes

Lastly, the client job walkthroughs feature special boxes that appear whenever you find a tracked collectible or document. Open the Journal to see that a specific amount of collectibles and documents can be acquired in the game. As such, these boxes are numbered throughout this entire guide—not just in the main walkthrough, but also in these optional client jobs. If the numbering of these boxes seems to jump around, you may have missed something in the main walkthrough, or perhaps you chose not to undertake one of these client jobs when it first became available. Whatever the case, these boxes, in combination with your Journal, will help you track down every last document and collectible in the game. Good luck!
