Jukebox

After completing the game, the Jukebox option is available from the main menu. Here you can select different musical tracks from the game. Select from the long list of tracks and enjoy some tunes. By selecting the buttons at the bottom, tracks can be repeated or shuffled for a random play list.

Hard Mode

Hard Mode is also unlocked after completing the game. When staring a new game, choose the “Start Over in Hard Mode” button at the bottom of the screen to begin a new adventure. During Hard Mode, enemy attacks have slightly different timing and deal more damage, making for more challenging battles. Furthermore, you can only carry a maximum of 10 of each item. For example, you can only carry 10 Mushrooms, 10 Super Mushrooms, 10 Ultra Mushrooms, etc. However, if you acquire the Bottomless Gloves, that item restriction is lifted.

Battle Medley: Bowser Jr.

Once you’ve defeated Antasma, the Battle Medley is available at the Battle Ring in Pi’illo Castle. In this battle you must defeat all of the bosses you’ve encountered during the game within a total of 45 turns. The concluding battle in the Battle Medley pits Mario and Luigi against Bowser Jr. Defeating Bowser Jr. is challenging but fun—any time you use a Bros. Attack, he steals it, preventing it from being used again. Bowser Jr. hides within his Junior Clown Car, protecting him from most attacks—you can still hit him with Jump attacks. But when Bowser Jr. exits his Junior Clown Car, he’s more vulnerable. When the Junior Clown Car is vacant, perform a Jump attack on it to take control, chasing Bowser Jr. around in his own vehicle—tilt the Nintendo 3DS to control it. While controlling the Junior Clown Car, you can retrieve your confiscated Bros. Attacks. After the Junior Clown Car crashes, look closely to spot Monty Mole in the background, attempting to fix the vehicle. Tossing Taunt Balls at Monty Mole will prevent him from fixing the Junior Clown Car, leaving Bowser Jr. exposed. Bowser Jr. has the most HP of any enemy, so be prepared for a tough fight—it’s recommended to be level 40 or higher before even attempting the Battle Medley.
