Not all of the new animals in The Sims 3: Pets are pets. Some are wild animals, living free in the fields and woodlands around Appaloosa Plains. Suburban wildlife like deer and raccoons add flavor to the world, and give your dogs something to bark at! Wild horses can be tamed and added to your stable. And if you’re really lucky, and good with wildlife, you might even befriend or even adopt a unicorn.
Small animal type pets are also occasionally found in the wild. If you find one, you can try to collect it. If you succeed, you get a message telling the species and rarity of your catch, and letting you know you’ll need a terrarium. If you try to collect a small animal and fail, the animal squeaks and escapes. You might even get bitten!
Rick pets a colorful wild foal while a deer frolics in the background.
