Agile
Description: Agile horses are nimble, strong, and love to jump. They make awesome Show Jumping competitors but get bored if they don’t stay active.
Benefits: Agile horses learn the Jumping skill faster and do better at Show Jumping and Cross-Country competitions.
Shortcomings: Agile horses need more exercise.
Unique Features: Opposing reinforceable trait is Hates Jumping.
Brave
Description: Brave horses have an extra helping of courage to help them deal with the chaos of sprinklers, fireworks, burglar alarms, and other terror-inducing everyday objects.
Benefits: Brave horses are less likely to be startled, and their Spooked! and Panicked! moodlets are shorter. Brave horses gain relationship with Brave Sims faster.
Shortcomings: None.
Unique Features: Opposing reinforceable trait is Nervous.
Clueless
Description: Clueless pets tend to forget what they’re doing and are easily distracted. They don’t learn skills and traits too quickly, but they do get along well with Absent-Minded Sims.
Benefits: Clueless pets gain relationship faster with Absent-Minded and Easily Impressed Sims, and other Clueless pets.
Shortcomings: Tend to forget what they’re doing, stand still, and stare vacantly.
Unique Features: This trait is not reinforceable.
Fast
Description: Fast horses are the speed demons of the animal kingdom. They love to gallop and have a natural talent for racing, but they need plenty of exercise to stay satisfied.
Benefits: Fast horses learn Racing skill appreciably faster. They’re also more likely to autonomously Gallop Around.
Shortcomings: Need more exercise.
Unique Features: Opposing reinforceable trait is Lazy.
Friendly
Description: Pets with the Friendly trait not only get along better with other pets, but they’ll usually have better relationships with their Sims as well.
Benefits: Friendly horses build relationships with both Sims and other pets faster.
Shortcomings: None.
Unique Features: Opposing reinforceable trait is Aggressive.
Genius
Description: Genius pets are always thinking on their paws (or hooves). They learn skills and new traits quickly and get along well with other Genius pets and Sims.
Benefits: Genius horses gain skills and traits faster. They also build relationship faster with other Genius Sims and Pets.
Shortcomings: None.
Unique Features: This trait is not reinforceable.
Hates Jumping
Description: Some horses prefer to keep their hooves on the ground. When a horse hates jumping, it will refuse to jump more often and do worse at Show Jumping and Cross-Country competitions. It may even take its anger out on your shiny new jump training obstacles!
Benefits: Horses who Hate Jumping need less exercise.
Shortcomings: Will do poorly at jump competitions. May kick down jump obstacles.
Unique Features: Opposing reinforceable trait is Agile.
Lazy
Description: Lazy pets just love to lie down or stay in one place as they get tired easily.
Benefits: Lazy horses need less exercise.
Shortcomings: Has a small score penalty on Racing and Cross-Country competitions. May autonomously switch from a gallop to a walk.
Unique Features: Opposing reinforceable trait is Fast.
Neat
Description: Neat Pets are naturally clean and love to be bathed.
Benefits: Neat horses won’t eat harvestables from your garden.
Shortcomings: None.
Unique Features: Opposing reinforceable trait is Piggy.
Nervous
Description: Nervous horses see danger everywhere and can be startled by the most insignificant things. They tend to get along well with Neurotic Sims, who have the same problems.
Benefits: Gain relationship faster with Neurotic Sims.
Shortcomings: More likely to be startled, and lose more mood from Spooked! or Panicked! moodlets.
Unique Features: Opposing reinforceable trait is Brave.
Noisy
Description: Noisy pets are very vocal and provide a special accompaniment when Sims are playing instruments.
Benefits: Noisy horses will tap their hoof in time with instruments being played.
Shortcomings: Noisy horses whinny more often.
Unique Features: Opposing reinforceable trait is Quiet.
Obedient
Description: Obedient horses are more willing to do what a Sim wants than other horses. They’ll usually go along with a Sim’s wishes, even if they don’t know that Sim very well.
Benefits: Obedient horse never kick Sims, and rarely throw them. They accept most socials and gain relationship faster with Friendly and Good Sims.
Shortcomings: None.
Unique Features: Opposing reinforceable trait is Ornery.
Ornery
Description: Ornery horses are stubborn and don’t deal well with Sims. They don’t like to be approached by Sims they don’t know—or even Sims they do know, for that matter.
Benefits: Ornery horses gain relationship faster with Mean and Evil Sims.
Shortcomings: More likely to kick, buck off riders, and reject socials.
Unique Features: Opposing reinforceable trait is Obedient.
Piggy
Description: Piggy pets are voracious eaters who don’t mind munching garbage or drinking from the toilet.
Benefits: Piggy horses don’t mind being dirty, and won’t refuse to enter a dirty box stall.
Shortcomings: Much more likely to eat plants from your garden or beg for harvestables.
Unique Features: Opposing reinforceable trait is Neat.
Playful
Description: Playful pets always want to have fun and have a happy-go-lucky attitude.
Benefits: Playful horses are more likely to autonomously play with the Horse Ball or be playful with other pets.
Shortcomings: Playful horses splash around in their water trough, potentially soaking nearby Sims.
Unique Features: None.
Quiet
Description: Quiet Pets do not make much noise.
Benefits: A quiet horse won’t whinny.
Shortcomings: Will not tap hoof along with music, and gets a slightly negative moodlet when music is being played.
Unique Features: Opposing reinforceable trait is Noisy.
Shy
Description: Pets with the Shy trait prefer and are the happiest when around their Sims. Being around other pets and Sims makes them a bit nervous.
Benefits: Shy pets prefer to socialize with the Sim they have the highest relationship with. When interacting with this Sim, they gain more Social, Fun, and skills.
Shortcomings: Get the Too Many People moodlet in a crowd. Will not autonomously socialize with other animals much.
Unique Features: None.
Untrained
Description: Untrained horses aren’t accustomed to having saddles and Sims on their backs. They need to spend some time saddled and being ridden by a trusted Sim to accept any rider.
Benefits: None.
Shortcomings: Untrained horses require work before they are useful as saddle horses.
Unique Features: None.

Sim Bin
Once you’ve made a custom animal or Sim, click the More button at the bottom right of the portrait. From here, you can delete the pet, save the pet to the Sim Bin for reuse, share the pet, or create a twin.
The Sim Bin has more options now as well. It now says Select a Sim or Pet at the top, and you have a lot more sort options.
Choose Sort by Dog to see further sort options. You can sort your collection of dogs by gender, age, or body size.
Horses and cats only have one body size, so they lack that option in the Sim Bin.
