Fortunately, cats never accidently have kittens. You have to deliberately breed your cats before they’ll have a litter. And you won’t even see the Try for Babies interaction unless you have a doghouse on your lot. Yep, that’s right, a doghouse. Technically it’s a pet house. Cat’s don’t get their own private parlors of amour. They use a doghouse, just like dogs do. Preferably one dogs haven’t used! Ick!
When a daddy cat and a mommy cat love each other very much...
Like dogs, cats retire to the privacy of the pet house to conduct their courtship. When they emerge, the female cat has a chance to be pregnant. If so, you get a message telling you to prepare for kittens.
Like other pets, cats don’t make a huge fuss about it. They just pop out a few kittens in a sparkly flourish. You then get an opportunity to name the kittens.
Shakira and Simba have two new babies! Awww, they’re so cute. They have their mother’s stripes and their father’s markings. Kittens might also inherit skills from their parents or grandparents. You can keep your cat’s kittens, or put them up for adoption. The Social Workers assure you that good homes will be found for them.
Kittens start eating solid food right away, so be ready to fill those food bowls even more often.
