Pets adds four new traits to enhance your Sims’ animal magnetism.
Animal Lover
Description: Sims with the Animal Lover trait love all members of the animal kingdom and have special benefits when interacting with pets.
Benefits: Enhanced relationships with all pets.
Shortcomings: Cannot choose Cat Person, Dog Person, or Equestrian traits.
Unique Features: Sims with the Animal Lover trait build relationship with all animals more quickly than Sims without the trait (but a little slower than Sims who have a pet-specific trait gain with that pet type). Animal Lover Sims also build the hidden Wildlife Friend skill faster.
Cat Person
Description: Sims with the Cat Person Trait are happiest when they are surrounded by multitudes of felines.
Benefits: Enhanced relationships with cats. Gain the positive Cat Playtime! moodlet when interacting with cats.
Shortcomings: Cannot choose Animal Lover, Dog Person, or Equestrian traits.
Unique Features: Sims with the Cat Person trait prefer cats to people, and build relationships with cats quickly. They also mourn cats who have passed on more intensely.
Dog Person
Description: Sims with the Dog Person trait have an extra special relationship with their dogs.
Benefits: Enhanced relationships with dogs. Gain the positive Dog Playtime! moodlet when interacting with dogs.
Shortcomings: Cannot choose Animal Lover, Cat Person, or Equestrian traits.
Unique Features: Sims with the Dog Person trait prefer dogs to people, and build relationships with dogs quickly. They are more successful at training dogs. They also mourn dogs who have passed on more intensely.
Equestrian
Description: Equestrian Sims love horses, and horses love them back! The mutual equine affection makes these Sims naturals at handling and training horses.
Benefits: Enhanced relationships with horses. Gain the positive Horse Playtime moodlet from riding and training their horses.
Shortcomings: Cannot choose Animal Lover, Dog Person, or Cat Person traits.
Unique Features: Sims with the Equestrian trait prefer horses to Sims and build relationship with their horses quickly. They gain Riding skill quickly. Horses gain Racing and Jumping skills faster when trained by an Equestrian Sim.
