High on the hills outside of town, the Appaloosa County Water Treatment plant is a fine, if somewhat less-than-scenic place to go fishing. Still, serious anglers come here to hook the more unusual fishes.

Appaloosa Plains boasts two fishing spots in the hills overlooking downtown.

Cinnamon Crest Falls

On the next ridge over, Cinnamon Crest Fallls provides a far more scenic option for drowning worms.

Both these fishing spots are near the abandoned tourist trap. Stop by to see the huge metal dinosaur.
