Dissidia Final Fantasy NT eGuide Summons

Bahamut

This prodigious dragon’s shrewd mind is almost as impressive as the searing fire he breathes. That, and how his presence enhances allies’ unique EX Skills.

Pre-Summoning Effect: Frenzied Bellow

Increases unique EX Skill gauge gain.

Post-Summoning Effect: Drakenscourge

Increases unique EX Skill gauge gain and effect durations.

Summary

Bahamut’s pre-summoning and post-summoning effects are similar to Ramuh’s and Leviathan’s, except they only affect unique EX Skills. The incremental gauge gains from scoring attacks are increased by 50%. After summoning Bahamut, your unique EX Skill’s duration is increased by around 7.5%. Note that this only applies to the duration of buff and debuff-type EX Skills and does not affect the duration of attack-based ones like the Emperor’s Starfall attack. Characters like Cloud (with Limit Break) and Sephiroth (with Jenova) can benefit from this post-summoning effect, although the boost is relatively minor compared to some of the other post-summoning boosts.

Bahamut’s Flare Breath is a linear-type sweep attack with limited coverage. However, it can be difficult for the enemy to see coming if they aren’t aware of Bahamut’s positioning, since the attack is projected from a set amount of distance away from him. Impulse is a powerful projectile attack that targets all enemies. If you can land a hit on an enemy or force them to guard briefly, Impulse is sure to hit them because of its release speed.

Bahamut’s greatest strength is his final signature attack, Megaflare. For a whole six seconds, each opponent is pelted with a focused beam that tracks their movement. If they stop at any point, they take damage, potentially resulting in eating the final Megaflare blast at the end of the attack.
