Home to the mighty intellect himself, the Zomboss Estate is typically locked to outsiders. However, the plants have made their way onto the grounds of the estate, hoping to score the ultimate victory. While you are unable to enter the mansion itself, the surrounding area is more than ready to play host to Halloween-inspired battles between both factions.
Points of Interest
The Courtyards
[1] [2] The two courtyards lead directly to the front door of the mansion via a set of steps, with large statues prominently placed in front of the house. Not necessarily the best location to fight in, as multiple zones have better cover and good lines of sight on the courtyards.
The Guest House
[3] The run-down guest house overlooks both courtyards and the mansion, and even has excellent views of the pumpkin patch. The house still maintains parts of its roof, which can help stop artillery strikes from Cactus or Engineer Classes, but lucky shots can still easily land inside of the house to wipe out anyone hiding inside.
The Mansion
[4] While the mansion itself is locked, the overhang that shades the entrance can be an important location to control. The various pillars that support the overhangs can protect players from incoming fire, and this section just in front of the mansion is one of the faster ways to get from the pumpkin patch to the crypt yard.
Pumpkin Patch
The pumpkin patch is organized loosely by a series of barriers and fences [5] [6], with multiple gaps in these barriers for players to travel through. Most people will simply jump these fences to quickly get to the lower areas of the patch. A prepared group can hold out against their enemies here with surprising ease thanks to all of the available cover.
Haunted Grove
Just behind the mansion [7] is a grove where presumably trees once grew. Now, the twisted and glowing remnants of this orchard stand between the pumpkin patch and the crypt yard. The haunted grove will be a hotly contested zone simply because of its location.
The Crypt Yard
[8] The walls that protect the crypt yard cannot be destroyed. There are three entrances that can be easily covered by coordinated teams. However, once inside the crypt yard, cover is extremely sparse, and teams at a numerical disadvantage will be in trouble. If you mean to hole up in the crypt yard, make sure that you have the backing of your team, and do whatever it takes to make your enemies pay for trying to use those entrances!
Front Yard
Perhaps in better times, the front yard [9] of the Zomboss Mansion might have actually possessed a color other than drab browns and greys. The front yard’s hilly terrain allows you to shoot down at enemies in the courtyards, while remaining relatively safe advancing on the crypt yard.
