Village Garden

[1] The Village Garden has a number of locations to grow Potted Plants directly around it, which can help with defending the Garden if and when the zombies draw close.

The raised pier can be reached from below by Foot Soldier Zombies using their rocket jump, which gives them a straight shot at the Garden. Cactus Plants will have a field day sniping at the enemy as they march down the pier toward the Garden. The two watchtowers [3] next to the pier can also be used to cover almost every approach to the Garden.

[4] [5] To the west and east of the Garden’s location, the village design is almost mirrored, featuring two sets of ramps on either side that lead down to the lower levels of the town, and eventually the beaches beneath the raised pier. These stairwells and alleys are too large for even a team of four plants to reliably lock down, but you can get some early licks in on the enemy if you’re using the Peashooter’s Hyper ability. This can get you onto rooftops you can’t normally reach. The watchtowers [3] are also excellent options for dealing with enemies on these paths.
Shipwreck Garden

The area around the shipwreck Garden is considerably smaller to deal with than the central village. It’s also much less organized, and the bumping terrain throughout this area can make it difficult to find and vanquish zombies before they reach the Garden. Next to the Garden is a small boulder where three Potted Plants can be set up. Having Ice-shrooms and Goop-shrooms here can help stall enemies just short of their goal.

[6] The stone arch south of the path marked by the monstrous fish bones is one of the primary approaches that the zombies will use. Many of the paths in the area around the shipwreck Garden are interconnected, which makes it nearly impossible to actually seal off any of the paths east of the Garden.

[7] The hills and paths north of the stone archway are in favor of the plants. It’s in this area that the zombies will potentially pass by the most Potted Plants, and the terrain is open enough that you and your allies should be able to vanquish many zombies before they get close to the Garden.

[8] A major point of interest is the small alcove south of the Garden itself. Should the zombies slip past the stone arch [6] and continue following the path, they can flank the Garden and any defenders near it. Cactus players should fortify this area as best they can, and Peashooters should be ready to zip over to this place with Hyper to assist if it comes down to it.
Beach Hut Garden

Surrounded by numerous Potted Plant locations, the beach hut Garden can potentially be one of the easier Gardens to defend. With three clear avenues of approach, all within close proximity to each other, a coordinated team of plants can exact a heavy price on the zombie horde.

[9] The northernmost approach is protected by a wood barrier that funnels the zombies through a pair of gaps. These gaps are small enough that once again, Cactus Tall-nut Battlements and the Potato Mine can be used to great effect. Peashooters can also tear up concentrated groups of enemies with their Chili Bean Bombs.

[10] The middle passage takes zombies under a stone arch for a straight shot at the Garden. This direct route puts the enemy on a collision course with a lot of Potted Plant locations. Set up correctly, you can thin out a zombie wave well before it gets close to the Garden, and the survivors will have to deal with all the Potted Plants surrounding the Garden itself.

[11] The southernmost route is the most problematic, as it can help the zombies flank many of the Potted Plants around the Garden, and potentially any players who are neglecting the route.
