As you play through more of the game, you’ll be able to unlock character Classes, characters, Spawnables and upgrades. Here’s a quick rundown on how to do it. For a more in-depth explanation, refer to the Sticker Shop section.
PvZ Coins
PvZ coins are obtained by fulfilling certain conditions during Garden Ops, Gardens and Graveyards, and Team Vanquish. These can be used as currency in the Sticker Shop, explained below.
Stickers
Stickers are the key to upgrading your squad. By collecting differently labeled stickers, players are able to collect customization items, Spawnable Plants and Zombies, weapon upgrades, and new characters, which are then filled out in the Sticker Book.
Packs
Whether you need an addition to your arsenal or just some decorative items, you’ll find all kinds of goodies in packs such as Level-Up Packs and Reinforcements Packs. Packs contain consumable and customization items. Consumables are limited use and include things like Skip Challenge stars, uses of Spawnable Plants and Spawnable Zombies, and self-revives (Garden Ops only). Items contained in these packs range from common to super rare. You can grab packs in the Sticker Shop, explained below.
The Sticker Shop
The Sticker Shop is where players can pick up their all-important stickers! Stickers can be obtained via Level-Up Packs, which show up once your player Rank has increased, or by purchasing Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare packs with PvZ coins.
Player Rank
Increase your player rank by leveling up your characters. As your player rank increases, you’ll be able to grab Level-Up Packs from the Sticker Shop, as well as access more game modes.
Customizations
Customizing your character allows it to change its appearance and actions. Depending on the character, you can change weapons, skin, hair, and even taunt-like gestures. Create the perfect plant or zombie to suit your personality, and seal that identity by vanquishing all you see.
Character Challenges
Character challenges are objectives that can be completed in select game modes, and can be anything ranging from resurrecting a certain number of teammates to vanquishing a certain number of foes.
Completing challenges earns you stars, which fill out level packs. A character’s level increases when you fill in all of the stars in your current level pack. Leveling characters not only brings them closer to upgrades, but also increases your player rank and awards you with PvZ coins and special packs!
You can track your progress for your current character’s challenges in the pause menu. When you beat a challenge, a status bar appears onscreen to show that you’ve completed it, and you’ll instantly receive your reward in stars!
Bonus Objectives
Occasionally during Garden Ops mode, Crazy Dave will give you bonus objectives during some waves. Pay attention to what he says and complete these objectives to earn extra PvZ coins for use in the Sticker Shop.
