The Peashooter is always in the front-line fight against any zombie invasion. He likes to play fast, loose, and frantic—adopting more of a run-and-gun mentality. When he sneezes, he’s a danger to both himself and those around him.
Primary Weapon: Pea Cannon

The Peashooter is the plants’ dependable workhorse. As the all-around balanced unit, he’s a good pick for people who are new to Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare, or just like his play style. His primary shots have good range from any distance as well as an area of effect, making him great on the front lines or at the rear. He also has the ability to increase his rate of fire, a handy crowd-clearing explosive, and the ability to escape from tough spots quickly or run rings around zombies with the touch of a button. In short, the Peashooter is a jack-of-all-trades—master them and you’ve got a force to be reckoned with.
Special Abilities
Chili Bean Bomb

The zombies often confuse the Chili Bean with brainz, racing after it trying to eat it. It has a short fuse and deals massive damage to all nearby zombies.
The Chili Bean Bomb is a cut above your average explosive, due to two attributes whose usefulness cannot be overstated. The first is their ability to draw most AI-controlled zombies toward it from small distances, so if you’ve got a crowd of zombies, a well-aimed Chili Bean Bomb toss will absolutely solve most, if not all, of your problems. The other is the fact that Chili Bean Bombs will not hurt you or other friendly plants. This means that if the battle’s getting crowded, you won’t have to sacrifice one of your most important weapons. Toss with impunity!
Gatling Pea

The Peashooter can dig into the ground and root himself in place, turning himself into a Gatling Pea. He can deal extra damage, but is vulnerable to attack.
The Gatling Pea is one of the most important offensive support abilities, period. Have some of your fellow plants running interference while having the Gatling mow down any zombie that you see, then watch as you all become an organic wall that no zombie can breach. The Gatling Pea is also a good long-distance weapon; activate it where your target can’t get close to you, such as from high ground. In close, however, the Peashooter is highly vulnerable, so watch out!
Hyper

When a Peashooter uses his Hyper ability, he will not only run incredibly fast, but can also jump extremely high.
If the Gatling Pea is one of the most important support abilities, then Hyper is one of the most important personal abilities. For a short time, you become faster than a water-gun’s discharge, and are able to leap moderately sized houses in a single bound. This is ample time to escape from a tough situation, outmaneuver zombies, and/or get to high ground. Plus, unlike the Foot Soldier Zombie’s Rocket Jump, Hyper gives you multiple jump usages, so be sure to catch the most air that you can!
Variants

Fire Pea
The Fire Pea is a flaming sensation, able to withstand the heat of being permanently on fire. The Fire Pea is very popular in winter and saves money on his heating bill.
Primary Weapon: Fire Pea Cannon

|

The Fire Pea Cannon’s flaming peas do excellent damage on their own, but due to their super-heated nature, they also set zombies aflame, which slowly eats away at their health for a short time. This lets the Fire Pea get his shots in, then assess the situation—continue to shoot, or run while still technically doing damage? The choice is yours.
Ice Pea

The Ice Pea is the coldest Peashooter around, but still carries a warm personality.
Primary Weapon: Ice Pea Cannon
Available Upgrades
|

The Ice Pea is one of the most important plant soldiers, bar none. Just a few hits from the Ice Pea Cannon is enough to freeze most zombies in their tracks, rendering it unable to move or take action. To compensate, the Ice Pea’s rate of fire is slightly lower than most Peashooters. Make his shots count, and pretty much any battles at close- and mid-range are yours.
Toxic Pea

Although the Toxic Pea has a very radiant personality, he constantly complains that everyone feels so distant....
Primary Weapon: Toxic Pea Cannon
Available Upgrades
|

The Toxic Pea is similar to the Fire Pea, but still distinct. He still does great damage with his Toxic Pea Cannon, but also has a personal toxic aura which will sap the health of any zombie he comes within range of. The closer the zombie, the more health is sapped over time. While his Cannon shots also drain zombies’ health, they won’t drain as much health as those from the Fire Pea, so although the Fire Pea can attack from farther away, you’re really going to want to get in close with ol’ Toxic. Fortunately, between your aura and your ammunition, odds are any zombie that tries to stand and fight won’t be in said fight for long.
Commando Pea

The Commando Pea grew up in the jungles and is the toughest pea there is—a one-Peashooter army that will never run from a fight.
Primary Weapon: Full-Auto Pea
Available Upgrades
|

Not much of a marksman? Love giving cover fire to your teammates, or just go in, pea stalks blazing? Welcome to your Class. Commando Peas are excellent assault troopers, able to stand against zombies with large stocks of rapid-fire pea ammunition. What they lack in damage and area of effect, they make up for in sheer volume. Multiple Commando Peas going full-auto will ruin any zombie’s day.
Agent Pea

Licensed to Vanquish—the Agent Pea is a silent stalker and makes vanquishing zombies look easy. For king and country...and Crazy Dave.
Primary Weapon: Pea Silencer
Available Upgrades
|

The Agent Pea is a professional; his shots are super-accurate, and do more damage when aimed correctly to score critical hits. For those who like to take their time to line up just the right shot while noisier teammates pose a distraction, the Agent Pea is the one to call.
