The Plants have been given 12 secondary abilities, making them even tougher in battle! They also have one new consumable, making their Potted Plants extra potent.
Peashooter
Secondary Abilities
Sombrero Bean Bomb

Nothing says “hot” like a Chili Bean wearing a sombrero! The fuse is quite long, but the damage is mighty impressive. Timing is the key with this fun friend.
With the longer fuse, you’ll have to make sure anyone you plan to tag with this isn’t going anywhere for a while. Gardens, Gnome Bomb defenses, and crowded battles are great places to use this. Treat it like a Garlic Drone’s Air Strike that you can deploy at close range.
Retro Gatling

The Retro Pea Gatling uses the ancient Peashooter techniques of manually cranking out peas. Although it has a slower rate of fire, the peas are ancient and far more damaging.
The Retro Pea Gatling allows the Peashooter’s Pea Gatling strategies to be used at short- and midrange. Their extra damage actually makes it worth it sometimes to activate in the middle of a heated battle. Make sure you have backup, of course!
Super Pea Jump

The Super Pea Jump allows the Peashooter to get atop places he was unable to reach before, but at the expense of speed.
The Peashooter can now beat the Zombie Foot Soldier at his own game! Use the Super Pea Jump to gain even higher vantage points and own the battlefield from above.

Rainbow Heal Beam

The Rainbow Heal Beam is exactly the same as the standard Heal Beam, but it’s rainbow colored! It heals faster as well. OK, no that’s a lie. It’s colorful!
Do you like rainbows? Do you also like healing your friends and Potted Plants slightly more quickly? If your answer to both of these questions is “yes,” go ahead and equip this.
Solar Flare Beam

The Solar Flare Beam is now the ultimate power in the universe! We suggest you use it.
Much like the Retro Pea Gatling, this offers increased damage in exchange for a more limited time of use. The Solar Flare Beam has more offensive uses, but watch where and when you deploy it for maximum efficiency!
Dark Flower

The Dark Flower is a nasty little Plant. It shoots hurtful red lasers at the Zombies, but it doesn’t heal, because it’s an evil little flower.
At the cost of healing, the Dark Flower makes the Sunflower more of a force to be reckoned with. It’s great to deploy when you need defensive Potted Plant backup of all types, or have a Zombie on the ropes and need to close in for the vanquish.

Chomper
Secondary Abilities
Super Sticky Goop

This Goop is sooo sticky that Zombies are not even able to move when they get hit by it. Let’s say it together: “Now that’s Sticky!”
This particular brand of Goop completely immobilizes Zombies! However, its cooldown time is far greater than that of the normal Goop.
Sprint Burrow

The Sprint Burrow allows the Chomper to move much faster when underground, but the range is quite limited.
Sometimes you just want to be able to Burrow at a moment’s notice, to catch that Zombie you know will be moving away in a matter of seconds. For those times, you want the Sprint Burrow. It doesn’t travel far, so make sure to use it as the pouncing tool it was meant to be.
Spiky Spikeweed

The Spiky Spikeweed deals more damage to Zombies it ensnares, but only a few can be deployed at a time.
These mines are more effective for dealing with enemies that are low on health, allowing you to save on Chomp time. However, the number you can deploy before cooldown is lower than with the normal Spikeweed.

Secondary Abilities
Potato Nugget Mine

These little nuggets are small, have a great sense of humor, and enjoy sitting around waiting to blow Zombies sky-high. While not as damaging as their potato cousins, these little nuggets still pack a spudow!
Compared to the Potato Mine, these little guys are smaller and thus harder to see in a heated battle. They also don’t do as much damage, but you can plant more of them before having to recharge your supply. Use these to launch sneakier, more coordinated defenses, since they don’t kick up as much smoke when they spudow!
Artichoke Drone

The Artichoke Drone has a really thick skin. This gives it more health and helps it last longer in a fight. However, it does not have the same firepower as its Garlic counterpart.
The Artichoke Drone loses power in its airstrike ability, but trades it for armor and increased attack speed. If you want to constantly buzz ground targets and provide ample cover fire, this baby’s for you. However, don’t expect to clear out fortified areas such as Gardens like you can with the Garlic Drone.
Iron Maiden

Encased in iron armor, these Iron Maiden Tallnuts will stare at Zombies with an unmatched intensity. They are very hard to destroy and enjoy getting in the way.
The Iron Maiden is taller and sturdier than the Tallnut Battlement, making it a much better piece of cover to hide behind. However, they are not as wide, making them tougher to barricade chokepoints with. It’s up to you to decide which is more important.

New Spawnable Plant
Doom-Shroom

Fires out super-explosive Doom-shrooms. Extremely damaging but takes time to regenerate.
The perfect capstone to a Garden’s defense, the Doom-shroom’s damage output and usefulness cannot be overstated. However, due to its long recharge time, having backup for it is imperative.
