Assault Rifles

Assault rifles are the most versatile primary weapon available, useful in a variety of situations. All assault rifles can be equipped with a M320 Grenade Launcher, offering even more firepower capable of knocking down walls and damaging light-skinned vehicles. An underslung M26 MASS Shotgun attachment is also available. These rifles can only be accessed by the assault kit. Continue playing as the assault kit to boost your assault score, leading to more assault rifle unlocks.

Fundamentals

• The assault rifles can only be equipped by the assault class. Although lengthy, they’re still compact enough to peek around corners.
• Assault rifles inflict the most damage within 50 meters, but remain accurate well beyond 100 meters.

• Consider equipping a 4X optic along with Canted ironsights, giving your rifle greater versatility when engaging opponents at various ranges.
• If recoil is a problem, try the weapon’s semi-auto setting. If issues persist, attach an Angled Grip and Compensator.
• Most assault rifles can accommodate the M320 grenade launcher or M26 MASS shotgun when the Underslung Rail is attached.

AK-12

• The AK-12 is the latest assault rifle fielded by the Russian Army. Based largely on the AK-74’s design, the AK-12 features several exterior modifications including the integration of attachment rails, an adjustable buttstock, and a ambidextrous magazine release. As the first assault rifle available, it comes equipped with an Underslung Rail, KOBRA (RDS) optic, a Laser sight, and Ergo Grip.

The M416 was developed by a famous German weapons manufacturer as a more reliable version of the classic M16. The weapon is essentially a fusion of the M16 and the G36 Assault Rifles. The M416 is reliable and accurate, with a moderate recoil and rate of fire that makes for an effective all-around weapon.

Developed for the US SOCOM, the SCAR is a modular series of weapons available in multiple interchangeable calibers, barrel lengths, and configurations. This particular model has been configured as the heavy SCAR-H variant with a long barrel and chambered for the hard hitting 7.62mm NATO round.

The SAR-21 is manufactured in Singapore and has been fielded by the Singapore Armed Forces since 1999. Chambered in the universal 5.56x45mm NATO round, the SAR-21’s bullpup design makes is easy to maneuver in tight quarters, making it particularly effective during urban deployments. It also exhibits light recoil, making the rifle easy to control.

The AEK-971 was developed as a possible successor to the AK-74 series of assault rifles and features a unique recoil reduction system. The AEK-971ʹ’s high rate of fire makes it excellent in close quarters but difficult to control. Shooters should switch to semi-automatic or 3-round burst for longer ranges.

The FAMAS is the standard-issue assault rifle of the French military. It is chambered in the 5.56mm NATO round and features a compact, bullpup configuration ideal for operating in close-quarters environments. The rifle has a blazing rate of fire, resulting in harsh recoil. An Angled Grip and Compensator can help mitigate muzzle climb, making it easier to keep the weapon on-target.

This 5.56 bullpup design was developed in the 1970s and features high modularity while being fully ambidextrous. Since its adoption as the standard rifle of the Austrian army in 1977, it has seen great success as an export, with a high number of global users praising its ruggedness and excellent handling.

The third generation M16 has been upgraded with a RIS (Rail Interface System) for mounting accessories and is capable of burst and semi-automatic fire. Available to front line units engaged in urban combat, the M16A3ʹ’s low recoil makes it capable all-around weapon.

This Czech-manufactured assault rifle was selected to replace the aging Sa vz. 58 by the Czech Armed Forces in 2010. Chambered in the 5.56mm NATO round, the CZ-805 is constructed from durable, lightweight alloy and polymer components and features three selectable fire modes, including a two-round burst.

This modified variant of the widely deployed Chinese QBZ-95 is chambered to accommodate the heavy DAP-87 round. The rifle also features several exterior alterations to improve operations and ergonomics. Like other bullpup-configured assault rifles, the QBZ-95-1’s compact size makes it ideally suited for operation in close-quarter environments.

The ACE 23 is just one variant of the ACE family of firearms, fielded by military and police forces throughout Central and South America.
