Offensive Scouting Report
- QB Ryan Tannehill has been solidified as the long-term starter in Miami; make sure to keep surrounding him with talent at WR.
- Last season, HB Lamar Miller proved he could carry the load, so be sure to utilize his strengths. Even though LaMichael James is solid on special teams, give him an opportunity to win the third-down-back role.
- Although the Dolphins prefer a short passing game, give Kenny Stills some chances downfield each game. Keep building the chemistry with Jarvis Landry, who had a solid rookie campaign. Don’t forget to target TE Jordan Cameron in the red zone.
Defensive Scouting Report
- Departed DT Randy Starks will leave a big hole, but Ndamukong Suh is more than capable of filling it. Not only is he just as good in the run game, but he should also be more trouble for opposing QBs.
- Your nickel LBs should be Koa Misi and Jelani Jenkins, who are both very solid in zone coverage. Both have some nice hit power, too.
- The secondary is extremely solid, especially at the safety position. Adjust your coverage to help out CB Brice McCain, because he will be targeted by opponents.
Schedule
Key Players
- Tannehill will consistently make all the open throws necessary to run a West Coast scheme.
- The Dolphins’ playbook allows Tannehill to utilize his 88 Throw On Run rating.
- Suh is an every-down DT in a 4-3 scheme — he should never come off the field.
- Expect to see improved sack totals from both Olivier Vernon and Cameron Wake when they line up next to Suh.
- If you want to develop Parker into a superstar WR who can line up everywhere, focus on his route running.
- With his ability to get off the press and catch in traffic, Parker will be better on the outside.
- Take control of Jones yourself if you want to get the most out of him.
- With such a low Play Recognition rating, Jones can’t be an every-down player until you develop him more.

BEST PASS: Pistol Ace Wing — TE Cross
Setup/Reads:
- Target the TEs against man coverage, especially if the defense is playing physical press coverage.

Advanced Setup:
- Wheel the HB.
