General Strategy
Stopping the run is one of the most crucial elements to consistently winning games in MUT. Picking the run-stuff style allows you to slow your opponents without committing extra resources into the box to stop the run. Once you get your opponent into certain passing situations, you can then ramp up the blitzing pressure. Consider the responsibilities of a 3-4 DE vs a 4-3 DE to determine what defense you want to build for the playbook you select.

Strengths
- Early in the season, most players like to run the ball until they get comfortable passing, so this is a great style.
- Finding big, strong defensive linemen isn’t too difficult, but keep an eye on their Block Shed rating, which is crucial.
- If you don’t get a strong safety with a solid Play Recognition rating (85+), consider user-controlling him on a hook zone in the middle.
Weaknesses
- Picking up a player who can stop the run and rush the passer will cost you a solid amount of coins, so look for two players instead.
- If your opponent tries to spread out your defense, you may not need all the strength you picked up in the middle.
- Make sure to pick a second DT (4-3) or a second MLB (3-4) to maximize your base defense and match your team playbook.
