Davante Adams (WR), Green Bay Packers
The Green Bay Packers always seem to sneak a sleeper player onto this list, and with good reason. QB Aaron Rodgers can seemingly turn any player into a star. Last season, Jarrett Boykin came up a little short of expectations, but WR Davante Adams showed some flashes. This could be his year to explode and help out this already-loaded WR corps. While Jordy Nelson and Randall Cobb will always be the main targets, Rodgers and the Packers’ offense put up plenty of passing stats to go around.
Bishop Sankey (RB), Tennessee Titans
Sankey was listed on most sleeper and top rookie lists last season but never quite became a top performer. This year, his competition in the backfield is gone and the job will be his to win. With a year under his belt, this could be the season that Sankey lives up to his projections from last year. The best part is that the expectations have calmed, and he should be available for a reasonable value.
Teddy Bridgewater (QB), Minnesota Vikings
During his rookie season, QB Teddy Bridgewater showed excellent promise even without star HB Adrian Peterson in the lineup. Bridgewater got plenty of experience and proved he could consistently complete passes and keep drives going. With more time to develop this off-season, Bridgewater and the Vikings should continue to improve, and the numbers could be solid with a full season of games. While Bridgewater may not crack the top 5 quite yet, he should be pretty consistent and should be a great player against the right defense.
Martavis Bryant (WR), Pittsburgh Steelers
Martavis Bryant is another talent that we projected for a stellar rookie campaign last year. While he got out of the gate slowly, he rewarded owners by proving he could make huge plays and find the end zone. This year, a full season should really amplify those numbers, and while defenses will be more aware of him and his big frame, Pittsburgh has too many weapons to focus only on him. Expect Bryant to be the benefactor of stellar WR Antonio Brown lining up next to him.
Nelson Agholor (WR), Philadelphia Eagles
The Eagles’ offense has put up big numbers both running and passing the ball since the debut of coach Chip Kelly. This season, they should continue to have balance and will rely on rookie WR Nelson Agholor to fill in the production of veteran WR Jeremy Maclin, who left in free agency. Kelly has already proven that a rookie WR can post big numbers in his system—WR Jordan Matthews had a great season last year.
