The city of New Atlantis in Starfield is by far the largest settlement you will explore and reside in while playing the game. In total, there are 27 side quests in New Atlantis for you to discover and complete, with many of them leading into follow-up quests that form a story-centered chain.

A Break at Dawn

What starts as a drunken brawl in A Break at Dawn winds up with a serious theft that Sergeant Yumi and now you need to uncover. The Dawn’s Roost, a local bar and restaurant in the Residential District, sees all manner of patrons, but this one was different.

A Light in the Darkness

It turns out that, in A Light in the Darkness, it isn’t just you interested in the various quests you’ve tackled in Starfield. The local news station, SSNN, is also keen on learning about what you’ve been doing across the Settled Systems, and they’re willing to pay for your time.

Alternating Currents

In Alternating Currents, you’ll help Louisa Reyez restore power and discover who is tapping into the grid without authorization. You must track down the source on the surface; then, you have a decision to make as to who deserves the evidence.

An Invitation

There’s nothing quite like restoring a stable power supply to an entire district and then immediately moving on to hand out invitations. In An Invitation, you will help Marcus Lestari pass out invitations to three of his buddies throughout New Atlantis. It’s a lot of walking.

A Parting Gift

In what is possibly the most depressing side quest in Starfield, A Parting Gift places you into the shoes of an intergalactic mail carrier tasked with delivering the final handwritten letter between pen pals. Unfortunately, what’s within the letter is heartbreaking, and you play witness to the whole event.

A Shipment for Salinas

If you’d like to unlock additional armaments for sale in The Well, you must speak with Vicente Salinas at Apex Electronics. He runs a little backroom shop with high-end firearms and ammunition but refuses to sell to those he doesn’t know and trust. In A Shipment for Salinas, you will earn that trust.

A Tree Grows in New Atlantis

There’s something strange about the scientist standing under the great tree in New Atlantis, muttering away to himself. Kelton Frush is worried about the tree, and he’s asked you to help him track down his bio-sensors in A Tree Grows in New Atlantis.

Beautiful Secrets

Warner, the owner of the local Enhance! takes his job seriously. Unfortunately for him, he lost a precious data slate with patient information when he went to lunch recently. In Beautiful Secrets, you must help him track down the lost slate to preserve his business and patients’ right to privacy.

Distilling Confidence

Local bartender Nyssa Marcano, over at the Viewport, plans to create a new concoction that will sell like hotcakes in Distilling Confidence. Unfortunately for her, UC Security confiscated the package, and now she wants your help acquiring the crate. You have a few options to nab this one, so pick wisely based on your playstyle and character build.

Due in Full

If you fancy yourself the ultimate credit collector, then working for Landry Hollifield in Due in Full proves lucrative and relatively straightforward. You’ll travel the Settled Systems collecting debts on behalf of GalBank, all for your own rewards. You can persuade, shoot, and use your detective skills to ensure everyone pays what’s due.

Gem Jealousy

It’s time to make the ultimate trade in Gem Jealousy. Guillaume Degarmo wants to offer up his plate for a gem, which George Saint-George over at Jemison Mercantile currently holds. It’s up to you to make someone’s dreams come true!

Keeping the Peace

Sergeant Yumi offers plenty of work for those who don’t mind helping the UC Security in New Atlantis. In Keeping the Peace, you’ll traverse MAST, track down a secret agent holding a unique package, and return to Yumi for your reward. You’re the middle-man here, and it pays as such.

Late Bloomer

We’re back helping Kelton Frush with his tree concerns, and this time, he’s discovered something a bit unfortunate and perhaps sinister. In Late Bloomer, you will help Kelton track down something to appease the tree’s growing vibrations. It’s an odd quest.

Olive Branch

While New Atlantis is mostly green as is, Nilesh would like to add to the local flora. He has an olive to plant and wants your help picking the perfect spot in the city. Despite the simplicity of the task, Olive Branch throws a few curveballs your way.

Out on a Limb

Kelton Frush requires data for his Tree Research, and a local has the inside scoop. You’ll need to use stealth, persuasion, and hacking skills to help him with his tree problems in Out on a Limb, though don’t fret because we’re not yet done with Kelton.

Overdesigned

Of the many side quests in New Atlantis and in Starfield as a whole, too few provide exceptional rewards worth fighting over. But Overdesigned does. Walter Stroud wants your help designing a new ship for his company, and your choices ultimately lead to one design or another.

Power From Beyond

Who doesn’t love space magic? In Power From Beyond, a side quest that feels more like part of the main quest for Constellation, you’ll work with Vladimir to track down temples, follow distortions, and acquire powers beyond belief.

Primary Sources

Nadia Muffaz of the local SSNN office requires a few sources for an upcoming news piece she’s working on. You’re in the area, so you’re the perfect candidate to track down and speak with each source. In Primary Sources, you’ll meet with three different people in The Well and tell their stories.

Reliable Care

In Reliable Care, you will help Nurse O’Shea, the only medical practitioner in The Well, diagnose a mysterious illness affecting children in New Atlantis. For that, you must track down her colleague’;’s notes on similar cases.

Search and Seizure

Sergeant Yumi suspects a smuggler ship recently docked in New Atlantis, and Search and Seizure sees you helping him find the culprit and put a lock on the contraband coming in via the spaceport. It’s a fun little romp with some detective work and helps keep the city clean.

Spreading the News

SSNN has a lot of work for an explorer, so speak with Tommy Bitlow again after completing A Light in the Darkness. In Spreading the News, you must deliver a slate to three key individuals in the city, relaying the news to each.

Suspicious Activities

Theresa Mason is suspicious of a few people lurking around UC Surplus. She believes they’re casing the joint for an upcoming robbery. In Suspicious Activities, you’ll help her discover whether her hunch is correct and then deal with the problem.

Tapping the Grid

In The Well, life isn’t as grand as on the surface. It’s New Atlantis’ best-kept secret, and the folks down below find themselves having extreme difficulty in keeping the lights on. In Tapping the Grid, the usual mechanic is a no-show, so you get to help Louisa Reyez restore the junction boxes in The Well.

Terror Brew

Markieff Sutherland requires a bounty hunter of sorts. He needs someone capable of taking down a terrifying creature without fear. You seem like an adept hunter, so help him out in Terror Brew searching for Fermented Coffee Beans.

The Art Dealer

You’ll likely stumble upon Samson hanging around Jemison Mercantile, looking somewhat lost. He requires a courier to scoop up some artwork from The Well and return it in one piece. But don’t ask any questions; otherwise, The Art Dealer may have issues with you.

The Boot

It’s time to fly away from New Atlantis for a time. In The Boot, you’ll visit The Den on behalf of Antonio Bianchi, just so that you can store some boots in a crate. Or, you can take a different route and sell them. It’s up to you what you do with the coveted boots.

The Kindness of Strangers

Instead of shooting someone today, we’re going to help them. In The Kindness of Strangers, a New Atlantis side quest, you will pick up a patient, get a homecooked meal, and bring them home for a relaxing and healing afternoon. It’s almost sweet.

Two Tales, Two Cities

In yet another side quest for Sergeant Yumi, Two Tales Two Cities, the follow-up to Search and Seizure, will see us helping the lawman track down evidence and make an arrest. The more evidence you have, the better.
