Do you remember Tommy Bitlow, the intern from SSNN in New Atlantis? Here’s how to help him by completing Spreading the News in Starfield.
How to Start Spreading the News in Starfield
You can start Spreading the News by speaking with Tommy Bitlow down the ramp from the New Atlantis Starport. You must start A Light in the Darkness first, however, though you don’t need to complete it fully.
Once you speak with him, he’ll reveal that he’s grown weary of being just “the intern” and wants to become a fully-fledged reporter for SSNN. He asks you to share his work via data slates with a few patrons around the city.
How to Complete Spreading the News in Starfield
To complete Spreading the News, you must help Tommy get his writing into the right hands and then return with feedback from each one. You can lie to him or be honest; how you complete this quest is up to you!
Spreading the News Quest Objectives |
---|
Speak to Tommy Bitlow |
Deliver Slate to George Saint-George |
Deliver Slate to Royce Elgin |
Deliver Slate to Catherine Alvarez |
Return to Tommy |
When we next find Tommy, despite helping him in A Light in the Darkness, he remains an intern for SSNN. And with dreams of becoming a renowned journalist, he asks for your help in ensuring people can read his writing.
He asks that you hand deliver three slates to three individuals throughout New Atlantis. You must deliver them to:
- George Saint-George
- Royce Elgin
- Catherine Alvarez
Tommy recently ran stories on two out of the three individuals’ organizations.
Once you hand over each slate, they’ll read his writing and provide valuable feedback. Unfortunately, none of it is any good. They all hate Tommy’s work.
Now, you have a choice. When you deliver all three slates, you must return to Tommy to let him know and provide him with their feedback. You can lie and tell him they all absolutely adore his work. Or, you can be honest and let him know everyone hates him.
Spreading the News Quest Rewards
For completing Spreading the News, you will receive the following quest rewards:
- 100 XP
- Credits (Leveled)
Again, this is another extremely easy side quest involving a bit of walking, a little talking, and some credits.
For more excitement, we recommend heading over to the UC Security Checkpoint to speak with Sergeant Yum for more excitement. He has a few detective-like quests for you to tackle.
