Points of Interest

1. Boardwalk

It’s not just fun and games at the boardwalk. Well, actually, it is mostly just fun and games. Here you’ll find the gravity-defying Orion’s Rockets ride and much more.

2. Hotel Roofs

Though the Honey Hotel is the largest and nicest place to stay in Paradise Sands, there are several other hotels, more appealing to college kids on spring break. These hotels are noted for their neon trim. You’ll find lots of interesting things on these rooftops, and right now, we’ll take you all the way across each one to get you to the very last building, the Herbert Hotel.

To get onto the roof of these hotels, start by heading toward the roof of the Honey Hotel. Climb the Honey Hotel, ride the mechanical bee up, and take an elevator to reach a high patio pool. Use a chicken symbol to glide way over to the distant hotels.

After you land, you’ll see some vines on the side of the building that are perfect for climbing.

This fountain has sprung a leak. Ride the water spout up onto the roof.

The next building has some handholds on the wall. Leap across the gap, grab on, and climb up. Make your way up and over to an air conditioner. Destroy it and build a climbable wall from its pieces.

Climb up and then slide down a tightrope to reach the next roof. Jump up the far flowers to reach a beam. Walk across a tightrope to reach the next portion of roof.

Climb a wall and cross another tightrope to reach a roof with a pool, which you actually built during Story mode.

As you did during Story mode, hop onto the ball and then onto the catapult pad to get launched over to another roof.

Oh look, another catapult pad on this roof. You know what to do!

You land on some distant handholds. Shimmy across and climb the LEGO patch on the wall.

Head through the open door to at last emerge on the roof of the Herbert Hotel. Sweet!

3. Beach

After a hard day of catching crooks, Chase McCain could use a little surf and sand. The beach of Paradise Sands is an excellent place to unwind. Heck, maybe you should build some sand castles here!

4. Bazaar

Behind the neon hotels of Paradise Sands is a lovely bazaar. There’s a giant pool here as well as a BBQ and plenty of stands selling food.

5. Honey Hotel

Frank Honey’s family owns the plushest and most famous hotel in all of LEGO City. But no Honey can climb to the top of that hotel like Chase McCain.

To reach the top, start by finding this scaffolding around back. Climb the ladder and jump up at the end to grab on to the handholds and get to the next story of the hotel.

Make your way to the right until you find this drainpipe. Climb it until you reach the giant mechanical bee. Yes, you read that right!

Ride the bee up to the next floor, leaping off to the right. There’s a jetpack symbol on the railing.

Use the jetpack ring to boost over to the lowest handhold of the Honey Hotel sign. Hop up the handholds afterward to reach the roof.

You’re not at the top of the world, but at least you’re at the top of this hotel now!

Make your way to the roof of the Herbert Hotel (POI 2) with the assistance of the “Points of Interest” section. Once there, inch along the thin ledge in front of the hotel sign to reach a suspicious space crate!

ATM Smashed

The ATM is at the entrance to the bazaar (POI 4), in front of the giant fountain.

BBQ Fire Extinguished

Reward: Gold brick

The BBQ blaze is located in the corner of a lawn, just north of the bazaar (POI 4).

Boulder Destroyed

Reward: Gold brick

The special boulder is cleverly hidden underneath the boardwalk (POI 1). Drop down onto the beach and you can run under the boardwalk to find it.

Cat Rescued

Reward: Gold brick

The cat is in front of the roller coaster entrance on the boardwalk (POI 1).

Character Token 1

Reward: Captain Bluffbeard

Before you can get this token, you’ll have to super build the lighthouse. Do so and then use the robber to break into the front door. Enter the door afterward to move to the top of the lighthouse, where you can grab the token.

Character Token 2

Reward: Viking

Toward the back of the boardwalk is a carnival ride featuring a massive viking ship. Only, it’s not working. There’s a problem with the fuse box, but a good whack by the construction worker will take care of it.

Nice work! Now hop on and enjoy the ride, and you’ll snatch a character token.

Character Token 3

Reward: Crazy Scientist

First, construct the Orion’s Rockets superbuild. Then jump into one of the seats and enjoy the ride. As you head around the roller coaster, you’ll automatically collect this token.

Character Token 4

Reward: Hula Dancer

Paint the four flowers the correct colors to unlock this token. You can find some helpful color swappers in a small background store near the bazaar (POI 4). Once you color all the flowers, a character token shows up on the nearby lawn.

Character Token 5

Reward: Rudolph Pianola

There are three silver flamingos around this hotel; paint them pink. One of the flamingos is hiding around back. You can find a pink color swapper right nearby. After you color all the flamingos pink, a character token appears near the hotel entrance.

Character Token 6

Reward: Doorman

Along the bazaar (POI 4) is a hotel with a prominent awning. There’s a grapple point here.

Use your grapple gun to get on top of the awning, where you’ll find the token.

Character Token 7

Reward: Surfer

You’ll need to super build the Super Sand Castle to get this token. Once you build it, you can see that the castle door has a grapple point. Using your grapple gun, yank the door open to reveal the prize inside.

Character Token 8

Reward: Beach Dude

Build the three sand castles on the beach to unlock this token. The token then appears along the surf wall.

Character Token 9

Reward: Rodney Baxter

Look for the shaky ground in front of this hotel at the bazaar (POI 4). Drill into it and ride the water spout up.

You’ll find a character token up on the awning, waiting for the taking.

Character Token 10

Reward: Maraca Man

Smash the brown crates and build the three jukeboxes to reveal this token.

The token appears on the roof of the shops in the bazaar.

Character Token 11

Reward: Surfer Girl

Along the beach are three silver surfboards. Paint them yellow to unlock this token.

The token floats over the pool at the bazaar (POI 4). Take a car and race off the ramp to collect it in style!

Character Token 12

Reward: Becky Ballentine

Give a quick look at the awnings in front of the hotels surrounding the bazaar (POI 4). You’ll spot this character token on one of them. To get up to it, fill the pool in front of the awning with water using the firefighter’s extinguisher.

Once full of water, the pool jets up a fountain. Ride the jet up to your prize.

Character Token 13

Reward: Troublemaker Tom

Paint the three silver palm trees brown to earn this token. Check the map to see where these special trees stand.

The token appears between these palm trees once the color puzzle is completed.

Character Token 14

Reward: Blubs

Near the Honey Hotel (POI 5), there’s a little grotto with a rock formation you can walk under. Inside, you’ll find a small rock. Smash it to expose a hidden character token.

Coffee Break Completed

Reward: Gold brick

One of the easier coffee breaks you’ll take in LEGO City is right in front of the main party hotel. Smash the LEGO barricade and enjoy your cup.

Disguise Booth

Reward: Gold brick, “Coastguard” character token

The disguise booth is in front of some steps leading down onto the beach (POI 3).

District Conquered

Reward: Gold brick

Find this flag spot at the top of the Honey Hotel (POI 5). See the “Points of Interest” section to learn how to get up here.

Drill Thrill Completed

Reward: Gold brick

A game of drill thrill is yours to enjoy near the end of the boardwalk. Fix the fuse box and have at it!

Flowers Watered 1

Reward: Gold brick

As you’re making your way toward the roof of the Herbert Hotel (POI 2), you’ll land on this roof with some special boulders and a catapult pad. There’s also a flower bed in the corner.

The flower bed is behind the Honey Hotel (POI 5).

Free Run

Rewards: Gold brick, “Frank Poolside” character token

Use the “Points of Interest” section to guide you to the top of the Honey Hotel (POI 5). Once you’re there, the free run token is an easy grab.

The free run course begins at the bottom of the hotel.

Gang Arrested

Reward: Gold brick

The scan spot is on the roof of one of the first buildings you cross on your way to the Herbert Hotel (POI 2)—one that overlooks the bazaar (POI 4). The “Points of Interest” section can help you get to this spot. Listen in to hear the gang’s plot and then race to break it up!

Pig Returned

Reward: Gold brick

The only way to reach this pick is with a helicopter. The nearest helipad is at the back entrance of Blackwell’s home, in Fresco. Drop onto the crash mat atop the tall building, then hop onto the pig and ride for the cannon, which stands near the Honey Hotel.

Red Brick

Reward: Ring Tone—Gas

Follow the “Points of Interest” section to reach the roof of the Herbert Hotel (POI 2). Once there, inch across a thin ledge in front of the hotel sign to reach the other side of the roof. Lucky you: the red brick is in plain sight!

Silver Statue Destroyed

Reward: Gold brick

This statue stands on the overhang of the entrance to the Herbert Hotel. Climb the drainpipe in front of the hotel to reach the statue, then blow it sky high! Dynamite can be found on the boardwalk (POI 1) if you’re in need.

Superbuild 1: Bluffbeard’s Lighthouse

Reward: Gold brick

There’s a small island to the far northeast of Paradise Sands. Swim or take a boat out to the island and you’ll find it’s pretty desolate. The only thing to do here is build a lighthouse!

Superbuild 2: Orion’s Rockets

Reward: Gold brick

The most fun to be had in LEGO City is probably riding the famed Orion roller coaster. To ride the coaster, though, you’ll have to super build Orion’s Rockets! Head to the boardwalk (POI 1) and build this awesome thrill ride without delay.

Superbuild 3: Super Sand Castle

Reward: Gold brick

There’s quite a lot of beach in Paradise Sands—the perfect place to build a giant sand castle!

Superbuild 4: Call-in Point

Reward: Gold brick, “Epona” vehicle token

As with most vehicle call-in superbuilds, this can be found just to the side of the main street.

Superbuild 5: Paradise Pool

Reward: Gold brick, “Talos” vehicle token

This superbuild is constructed during Story mode, so you should already have this one. But we like to be thorough!

Superbuild 6: Loop de Loop

Reward: Gold brick

This epic superbuild is on the beach (POI 3). Where else would you be doing loop de loops?

Superbuild 7: Stunt Ramp

Reward: Gold brick, “Ice Fisherman” character token

You can find this stunt ramp superbuild at the south end of Paradise Sands, next to the beach (POI 3).

Super Star

Reward: “Pop Star” character token (after you find all Super Stars in the city)

At the north end of Paradise Sands, there’s a fork in the road. Leave the main street and drive up the path to the right toward the observatory.

Hidden along the rocky bluff is an area that overlooks the boardwalk (POI 1). There’s a super chicken-glide symbol here.

Make the epic chicken-glide over to the top of Orion’s Rockets.

Carefully land atop the roller coaster’s narrow roof. Destroy the yellow box up here and build a Super Star from its pieces. Score!

Time Trial

Reward: Gold brick, “Galleon” vehicle token

This aquatic race against time is found just south of the beach (POI 3). You’ll race through some rocky terrain, so be cautious and don’t get too close to any land.

Train Station

Reward: Gold brick, fast travel

You can build a connection to the train line in front of the entrance to the bazaar (POI 4). Head down the steps and smash the green cabinets, then build the ticket machine.

Vehicle Robbery Completed

Reward: Gold brick, “Athena” vehicle token

You’ll find the garage near the entrance to the bazaar.

Vehicle Robber Arrested

Reward: Gold brick, “Lusca” vehicle token

Head along the hotel roofs toward the Herbert Hotel (POI 2). Check the “Points of Interest” section for details on how to get there. When you reach the roof with the second catapult pad, stop. The scan spot is nearby, toward the back-left corner of the roof.
