Points of Interest
1. Bank
At the north end of downtown is a prestigious bank. To reach the top of the bank, you’ll actually need to start far away.
Go to the alley behind the R.F.A. building, which is right behind the bull statue. Drill the shaky ground there and ride the water spout up to a ladder that leads to the roof.
Make your way onto the roof and toward the large billboard. Grab the handholds and ascend to the top of the billboard.
There’s a chicken symbol here, which means it’s time to chicken-glide. It’s a long way to the bank, so hold on tightly to that chicken! After a long flight, you’re on top of the bank.
2. X and Y Buildings
In the northeast section of downtown, there are two buildings you’ll use to get several the area’s goodies.
Getting onto the X building is pretty easy. Head to the north corner of the X building and look for the shaky ground. Drill here to create a water spout.
There are a bunch of locked doors up here, most of which contain superbricks. Use the robber’s crowbar to pad your brick bank account.
To reach the top of the Y building, water the planter out front, then climb up the sunflower. This won’t get you onto the roof, though—that takes a little more effort.
To reach the Y building’s roof, you’ll actually have to go down in order to go up. Find the skylight and break into it with the robber’s crowbar.
Drop through the skylight to land on the bottom floor of the Y building. Use the transporter pad down here to beam up to the Y building’s roof.
3. Glass Tower
The glass tower may be the most impressive-looking skyscraper in downtown. It’s also one of the most useful.
At the base of the tower is a brown crate. Smash it and build a transporter pad.
Use the transporter pad to beam into the glass tower’s lobby. Here you’ll find every color swapper imaginable, along with a dynamite dispenser. Handy!
The Top of the Tower
You’ll also want to reach the top of this glass behemoth. To do this, you’ll actually start on the roof of the tourist center. See the following “Tourist Center” section to learn how to get up there.
From the tourist center, make your way to this transporter pad. Use it and you’ll appear above a tightrope.
When you fall onto the tightrope, you’ll automatically slide across to a nearby billboard. Jetpack-jump to the roof across the street. Don’t worry, you can make it!
Boost up to the higher section of rooftop and scale the scaffolding of a big billboard.
Make your way onto the tightrope and walk across to the glass building.
4. Tourist Center
From the air, this brick area, with two huts in the center, looks like a pig’s snout. A dynamite dispenser is located here.
Run around the exterior brick wall and water a planter to grow a tall sunflower. Climb up to reach the roof. From there, you can jetpack-jump onto the huts or use a chicken symbol or a transporter pad to venture to new areas, such as the top of the Glass Tower (POI 3).

Get to the roof of the Y building (POI 2), following the tips in the “Points of Interest” section. You’ll find the alien invader space crate on the roof.

This is in front of the Y building, and easy to find.
BBQ Fire Extinguished

The BBQ is all the way on the west end of downtown, near the cannon.
Boulder Destroyed
Reward: Gold brick
The special boulder is next to a tree near the bull statue.
Cat Rescued
Reward: Gold brick
Get onto the X building (POI 2) with help from the “Points of Interest” section. Move left, past the numerous locked doors until you see a climbable wall.
Climb the wall and then use a wall runway to cross a gap and reach the kitty in need.
Character Token 1
Reward: Jo Chalkley
This token is hidden behind the X building (POI 2), right at the border of Kings Court. There’s a green cannon in front of the token, so look for that if you’re having trouble spotting this one.
Character Token 2
Reward: Cacey
Follow the steps in the “Points of Interest” section to get on top of the bank’s roof. You’ll collect this token after you land from your long chicken-glide.
Character Token 3
Reward: Traffic Cop
Paint the tops of three silver traffic posts yellow to make this token appear. Check the map to see where the traffic posts are located.
After you paint all three posts yellow, a character token appears in front of the bank.
Character Token 4
Reward: Mime
Along the side of the bank is a climbable wall. Scale it to reach a narrow ledge.
Cross the ledge and climb another wall to reach a thin ledge. Inch over to some thin poles and hop across them.
Keep going until you reach a small nook with a character token. Score!
Character Token 5
Reward: Minotaur
Blast the bull statue in downtown with gold coloring, and this token will appear right in front of it. Remember, every color swapper you could ever need is in the lobby of the glass tower (POI 3).
Character Token 6
Reward: Weather Girl
Follow the instructions in the “Points of Interest” section to reach the top of the glass tower, where this token awaits.
Character Token 7
Reward: Artist
Near the tourist center (POI 4), finish the artist statue’s painting with the color gun. Paint the head yellow and the shirt red to make a character token appear nearby.
Character Token 8
Reward: Ringmaster
You must construct the Ferris wheel superbuild to make this token appear. Once you build the Ferris wheel, hop into a car and launch off the ramp in front of it. You’ll soar through the center of the wheel, nabbing a character token!
Coffee Break Completed
Reward: Gold brick
Getting a quick coffee break takes quite a lot of work in downtown. Start at the free run challenge marker, where you’ll see a climbable wall and some handholds. Make your way up.
Leap from flagpole to flagpole as you head left.
Cross a tightrope, vault a few beams, then step onto a catapult pad to launch yourself up to the next building.
Scale the climbable wall up to the next level of this building and head to the right. See that brick wall full of handholds? Leap over to it.
Run around a metal ledge and perform a wall-jump to reach the drainpipe on the adjacent building.
Once on the roof, hop up a series of thin poles to reach a tightrope that leads to the final building.
Keep heading right to at last find the most well-hidden coffee spot in all of LEGO City!
Disguise Booth
Reward: Gold brick, “Hugh Hunter” character token
Downtown’s disguise booth is located near the artist statue and tourist center (POI 4).
District Conquered
Reward: Gold brick
Use the previous “Points of Interest” section to learn how to reach the top of the glass tower (POI 3). Follow those instructions and you’ll find a perfect spot to plant your flag.
Drill Thrill Completed
Reward: Gold brick
Use the “Points of Interest” section to learn how to glide onto the bank (POI 1), then shimmy across the handhold on the right and climb the wall to reach the bank’s roof.
The fuse box that kick-starts this drill thrill event is located on the bank’s roof.
Flowers Watered
Reward: Gold brick
Downtown’s flower bed is in the upper north part of the zone, next to the X building.
Free Run
Rewards: Gold brick, “Ninja” character token
There’s no need to collect a free run token in downtown—playing through Story mode unlocks this district’s free run course. Find the free run’s starting point by a group of buildings just west of the glass tower.
Gang Arrested
Reward: Gold brick
Get onto the roof of the tourist center and find the chicken symbol. Glide onto the artist statue’s palette, where you find the audio scan symbol that triggers this event.
Pig Returned 1
Reward: Gold brick
Using the “Points of Interest” section to guide you, get onto the roof of Y building (POI 2). Activate a chicken symbol up here and make a long glide toward a series of awnings.
Carefully cross the awnings to reach the pig. The closest cannon is actually north, in Kings Court, but you can always stick to downtown and return the pig via the cannon on the zone’s west side.
Pig Returned 2
Reward: Gold brick
Get onto the roof of the tourist center (POI 4) by growing a sunflower from a planter, then make your way around until you spot this zone’s other lost pig.
Red Brick
Reward: Wonder Whistle
Get up onto the X building (POI 2) with the help of the “Points of Interest” section. The red brick is behind a door with a crowbar symbol. Crack it open to grab your goody.
Silver Statue Destroyed
Reward: Gold brick
Head into the lobby of the glass tower (POI 3) and get some dynamite out of the dispenser. Mosey over to the west side of downtown, toward the water, and blow up the Rex statue.
Superbuild 1: Call-in Point
Reward: Gold brick, “Patrollo” vehicle token
The superbuild is on the east side of downtown, near the main street.
Superbuild 2: Call-in Point
Reward: Gold brick, “Earwig” vehicle token
This superbuild is on the far west side of downtown, along the water.
Superbuild 3: Ferris Wheel
Reward: Gold brick
This superbuild is in the center of a very empty plaza. Drop a ton of bricks and add something of interest to go with the bouncy castle.
Time Trial
Reward: Gold brick, “Drakonas” vehicle token
The time trial is on the east side, near the jetty. The race takes you all around downtown.
Train Station
Reward: Gold brick, fast travel
Downtown’s train station lies north of the plaza where you build the Ferris wheel. Smash the green cabinet and build its bricks into a ticket machine to activate downtown’s train station. Now you can quickly travel here and access the vast array of color swappers found within the glass tower (POI 3)!
Vehicle Robbery Completed
Reward: Gold brick, “Bearer” vehicle token
Pry open the door of the garage west of the bull statue to begin this frantic vehicle robbery event.
Vehicle Robber Arrested
Reward: Gold brick, “Narym” vehicle token
To reach this event, start out like you’re going to glide over to the bank rooftop (POI 1), using the “Points of Interest” section for help. But instead of climbing the billboard with the chicken-glide symbol, head left and cross a tightrope.
Once across, wall-jump up the narrow walls that follow, heading to a roof with a crash mat.
Ignore the crash mat and instead climb a few handholds to reach the top of the nearby billboard. Activate the chicken symbol up there and glide over to another building.
Climb up to another billboard with handholds that lead to a criminal scan spot. Use the scan spot and then hurry after that vehicle thief!
Warp Pipe
Reward: Fast travel
Use the incredible strength of Rex Fury to rip open the crate in the tourist center.
Bricks spill out from the crate—build them into a warp pipe. Neat-o! Hop into the warp pipe to travel to (and unlock) Lady Liberty Island.
