Points of Interest

1. Luxury Apartments

Chances are Chase McCain doesn’t make enough studs per month to afford a high-rise apartment in the heart of Bright Lights Plaza. At least he can climb all over this one for free!

To reach the roof, find this spot of shaky ground near the front doors of the luxury apartments.

Drill until the water spouts up, allowing you to get on top of the overhang. There’s a tightrope to the right. Make the long walk across it.

Run across the overhang until you reach some handholds. Climb up and around the “Quentins” billboard.

This will get you to another glass overhang, where you’ll find a transporter pad. Teleport to another overhang with a catapult pad that launches you to another section of the apartment building.

Once you’re on the next overhang, climb the drainpipe onto the roof for a nice view of Lady Liberty Island and the Auburn Bay Bridge.

2. Atlas Statue

This impressive statue stands just north of the shopping mall. Drive any car off the ramp in front of the statue to fly through the “world” supported on Atlas’s shoulders!

3. Ellie’s Apartment

Ellie’s apartment is quite something. You won’t want to visit it until you’ve rescued Natalia from Mercy Hearts Hospital during Story mode.

To get inside, find the keypad outside of the ground-floor elevator.

Once inside, head to the right to find a doorway leading to some stairs. Head upstairs to find yourself on the roof of Ellie’s pad.

4. West Side Shops

Along the waterfront, there are plenty of things to keep you occupied. Along with a giant toy store, there’s a gym and a theater. You’ll want to get to the toy store and all the way around the shops and inside the gym.

Go into the middle section of the shopping mall, with the disco lights on the floor. Head north and go out back, behind Wheatley’s Bakery. Hop up some handholds that lead to a series of thin poles.

Continue along the narrow path until you reach a wall runway. Run along the wall to get past the gap.

Keep going until you reach a handhold on the wall. Grab it and drop down to a thin ledge.

Wall-hug the ledge and head left until you are back on more solid ground. Now it’s time to race forward for a while. Keep heading around the glass overhang, eventually crossing a tightrope.

Keep going until you reach a jetpack symbol. Activate it and then boost over the water and onto the theater’s marquee.

Slide down the tightrope that follows and then leap across a flagpole to reach another marquee.

You’re almost at the end of your run. Get to the transporter pad and teleport into the gym. Now you’ve seen everything the west side shops have to offer!

5. Shopping Mall

An impressive shopping mall lies at the heart of Bright Lights Plaza. Its most notable feature is a giant Disco Dude statue at the front. There’s quite a lot to do around the mall, which has a few Points of Interest of its own.

6. Top of the Mall

Want a nice view of the tourist section of LEGO City? Then you’ll want to make a jaunt to the top of the mall. Start in front of the LEGO store.

Between the LEGO store and the Rex statue is a ladder. It’s too high to grab on to normally, so you’ll need to boost up to it with the astronaut’s jetpack.

Climb the ladder and hop across a series of posts until you reach a climbable wall.

Scale the wall to reach a higher platform. Run to the left until you reach some handholds. Scale these as well to reach higher ground.

Run to the right, sliding under and vaulting over several beams. When you reach the end, you’ll find a billboard with a balance beam you can cross. Do so to reach a tightrope.

Slide down the tightrope to reach another billboard. See those handholds? Time to climb!

Climb the drainpipe above the handholds, then use a wall runway to sprint past a gap.

Climb the handhold wall and you’re there. Phew!

Alien Caught

Follow the route along the west side shops (POI 4) until you beam into the gym. Activate the gym’s space crate and open it to reveal an alien! Hurry out to the street and arrest the invader.

The ATM is outside Ellie’s apartment, on the east side of Bright Lights Plaza.

Head to the roof of Ellie’s apartment to find this BBQ fire.

Boulder Destroyed

This is buried under a bunch of black boulders at the far east corner of Ellie’s apartment.

Cat Rescued

Reward: Gold brick

Use the previous “Points of Interest” section to reach the roof of the luxury apartments (POI 1). The trapped cat is on the roof’s left side.

Character Token 1

Reward: Pat Patterson

Paint the “L” of the hotel sign yellow to unlock this token, which appears right in front of the hotel.

Character Token 2

Reward: Spartan Warrior

To nab this token, you’ll need a fast car. Find one, then drive off the ramp in front of the Atlas statue. You’ll fly through the statue, destroying the globe and grabbing the token as you go!

Character Token 3

Reward: Luke Cashmore

On the roof of Ellie’s apartment, look for the locked door. Break in with the robber’s crowbar, then walk around to the back of the room to find your prize.

Character Token 4

Reward: Ryan McLaughlin

Find and smash five brown crates in Bright Lights Plaza, then build watercoolers from their bricks. Each of these crates is located inside a shop or building—check the maps to see where the five crates lie.

After you build all five watercoolers, a character token appears at the back of the shopping mall.

Character Token 5

Reward: Eddie JoJo

Paint the area’s three silver ice cream carts pink. You can find a pink color swapper near the theater’s entrance.

After you paint all three ice cream carts pink, a character token appears in front of the theater.

Character Token 6

Reward: Chris Wyatt

Make your way toward the top of the mall (POI 6). When you reach the R&J sign, don’t climb up the handholds. Instead, follow the path to the right to find this token!

Character Token 7

Reward: Zombie

Follow the instructions in the “Points of Interest” section to reach the top of the mall (POI 6). You’ll automatically grab this token as you reach the top.

Character Token 8

Reward: Lizard Man

With dynamite in hand, head over to the LEGO store. The door is locked, but that’s nothing a little dynamite can’t fix. You can find a dispenser in the walkway under the shopping mall.

Inside the LEGO store are three large boxes with LEGO pieces inside. Smash the boxes and build a space shuttle, a pirate ship, and a crocodile. The character token appears in the center of the store after you do this.

Character Token 9

Reward: Magician

Use the “Points of Interest” section to get around the west side shops (POI 4) and enter the gym. The token is right above the transporter pad used to get inside.

Character Token 10

Reward: Disco Dude

From the front of the shopping mall, you’ll see a drainpipe. Climb it.

Head right and you’ll find some handholds so you can get right up to the Disco Dude statue.

Head behind the statue and to the other side where there are some handholds you can grab and shimmy along.

Follow the path to a wall runway and use it to get across the gap.

Climb the ladder beyond the gap to enter a tube. Slide under and vault a series of beams until you reach a transporter pad.

Use the transporter to get atop the giant disco ball. The token hovers above the disco ball—just jump up and grab it!

Character Token 11

Reward: James Curry

On the ground floor of the shopping mall, look for some handholds on the ceiling. Smash the nearby phone and build a trampoline, then bounce up to the token.

Character Token 12

Reward: Clockwork Robot

Follow the route around the west side shops (POI 4). After you pass the giant toy doll statue, look for a character token in the background—it’s easy to spot. Use the nearby handhold to climb up to the token.

Coffee Break Completed

Reward: Gold brick

This break spot is by the water on the south end of Bright Lights Plaza.

Disguise Booth

Reward: Gold brick, “Paparazzo” character token

This is right out in the open, next to the main street.

District Conquered

Reward: Gold brick

Go to the rooftop of the luxury apartments (POI 1). Climb the ladder on the roof’s right side to reach the spot where you can raise a flag.

Drill Thrill Completed

Reward: Gold brick

The fuse box that fires up this event is found on the right side of the luxury apartments rooftop (POI 1). If you need help getting up there, see the “Points of Interest” section.

Flowers Watered 1

Reward: Gold brick

The dry flower bed is in the northeast corner of the plaza. Get to watering!

Flowers Watered 2

Reward: Gold brick

You’ll find the flower bed on the roof of Ellie’s apartment.

Free Run

Rewards: Gold brick, “Cheerleader” character token

Get to the top of the mall (POI 6) by following the directions in the “Points of Interest” section. Once there, you’ll see that you can actually get a little bit higher. Climb a blue and white LEGO wall to reach the top of a billboard, where the free run token is located.

The free run challenge starts in front of the LEGO store, so head on down there.

Gang Arrested

Reward: Gold brick

You’ll actually start this event in Pagoda, right near the border to Bright Lights Plaza. Drill the shaky ground at this spot and ride the water blast up to a drainpipe.

Climb up the drainpipe and then slide under a beam. Climb the scaffolding that follows to reach an audio scan spot, which reveals that a gang is about to start trouble in the shopping mall. Hurry over there and show those gang members why Chase McCain is the greatest detective ever!

Pig Returned

Reward: Gold brick

Make your way to the top of the mall (POI 6). Climb onto the billboard and use the catapult pad to launch yourself toward a distant ledge with a lost pig.

Once on the pig, take a big leap off the building. Don’t worry, that pig is tough enough to handle a 10-story drop! Just head for the cannon, which you’ll find in the northwest section of Bright Lights Plaza.

Red Brick

Reward: Instant Vehicles

After taking the elevator into Ellie’s apartment, follow the hall left to find this red brick.

Silver Statue Destroyed

Reward: Gold brick

The Rex statue is next to the LEGO shop in the shopping mall, but it’s kept in a locked room! Use the nearby scan spot to track down the key you need.

Unlock the door, then head left and grab some dynamite from the nearby dispenser. Plant your dynamite and step back!

Superbuild: Vehicle Call-in

Reward: Gold brick, “Chaser” vehicle token

You’ll find this superbuild east of the Atlas statue.

Super Star

Reward: “Pop Star” character token (after you find all Super Stars in the city)

The Super Star is on the rooftop of the luxury apartments. Climb the ladder on the roof’s right side to reach it. If you’re not sure how to get to the roof, check out the “Points of Interest” section.

Train Station

Reward: Gold brick, fast travel

Bright Lights Plaza’s train station lies south of the Atlas statue. To activate it, smash the green object at the bottom of the metro stairs, then build the bricks into the station’s ticket machine.

Vehicle Robbery Completed

Reward: Gold brick, “Cetan” vehicle token

Look for the Autos shop at the north end of the shopping mall. Break into the door to take the Cetan for a joy ride.

Vehicle Robber Arrested

Reward: Gold brick, “Gersemi” vehicle token

Get up to the rooftop of the luxury apartments (POI 1). Climb the ladder to the right and then drop off the right side to the roof’s other half. Find the scan spot that starts this event in the roof’s far corner.
