Points of Interest

1. Research Bunker

This small bunker is closed off to the public, but that isn’t going to stop an intrepid detective like Chase McCain.

You need to construct the super satellite superbuild before you can access the research bunker. Once that’s built, walk up the stairs and pull the switch.

This activates the satellite, which creates a transporter pad nearby. Use the pad to zap yourself into the research bunker.

Inside the bunker, you want to open the blast door. See those red buttons on the floor? They open the door, but they require power. Find the crate near the door and smash it; then use the pieces inside to build a transporter pad.

Teleport into the locked room and snag some dynamite. With dynamite in hand, hop back onto the transporter pad and return to the main bunker.

Next to the red buttons on the floor is a silver door just waiting to be blown to smithereens. Place your dynamite and back away.

Inside the newly opened room is an fuse box. Give it a few taps with the construction worker’s hammer to activate the buttons on the bunker floor.

Back in the bunker, one of the floor buttons has turned yellow. Step on it and another button turns yellow. Go from one yellow button to the next until all are activated.

And watch as the doors finally open! This activates Time Trial 2.

2. Astronaut Carnival

In the grassy area to the right of the space center is a playground where astronauts train in how to have fun. These games are a quick way to earn some studs.

3. Space Center Rooftops

The main attraction of Apollo Island is the Space Center, where astronauts do lots of astronaut things. On the roof of the Space Center, you’ll do all sorts of Chase McCain things.

There are a few things you can do on the Space Center’s rooftops. To get up there, walk along the left side of the Space Center to find a spot where you can wall-bounce up onto the lowest level of the roof.

To get higher, swing along the flagpoles. Eventually you’ll reach a rooftop with a flower pot. Water it to grow a plant, enabling you to climb higher.

On the other end of the roof is a tightrope you can slide down.

From here you need to move along a series of wall runways. Keep at it until you find yourself on a new rooftop.

There are handholds on the nearby wall. Climb them and follow another wall runway to yet more handholds leading you up.

Run up the slope and hop onto the trampoline at the top.

After you climb one more wall, you’ll be at the top of the Space Center. Enjoy the view!

4. Launch Pad

This is where LEGO men and women prove they have the right stuff. If you’ve completed Story mode, then a space shuttle sits on the launch pad.

5. Runway

Space shuttles may lift off at the launch pad, but they land on the runway. You can find the large runway and its garages on the island’s east side.

To get on top of the garage, find this spot of shaky ground. Drill it and ride the water spout up.

From there, it’s just a simple climb to the top.

6. The Lil’ Island

Easily missed, this tiny spot of land is north of the runway.

One of LEGO City’s five ? Blocks is hidden behind the garages. Head back here from the runway and smash open the big ? Block.

Alien Caught

The space crate used to reveal this alien menace is found on the Space Center rooftops.

The alien appears far below you. Don’t be afraid—Chase won’t take damage from the fall! Jump down there and get after that rascally alien.

BBQ Fire Extinguished

Reward: Gold brick

There’s a little picnic area at the astronaut carnival. It’s along the dirt road. The BBQ rages next to some picnic tables.

Boulder Destroyed

Reward: Gold brick

Get to the lil’ island to find Apollo Island’s special boulder hiding among a pile of regular boulders.

Cat Rescued

Reward: Gold brick

Make your way up to the Space Center rooftops. After climbing the plant, you’ll be right in front of a spot to rescue a cat. Use the “Points of Interest” section for a step-by-step guide on getting to the Space Center roof.

Character Token 1

Reward: Radio DJ

Build the three satellites spread around the island by smashing brown crates and assembling the pieces inside.

Once complete, the character token appears here.

Character Token 2

Reward: Classic Alien

This token is directly above the transporter pad when you teleport into the research bunker. To learn how to get inside, see the “Points of Interest” section.

Character Token 3

Reward: Forrest Blackwell

As Rex Fury, head to the water tower and grab the orange handle on this crate.

Slide under the beam to grab the token.

Character Token 4

Reward: Jonlan Regnix

Use the “Points of Interest” section to get onto the garage rooftop. There, you’ll find this jetpack symbol.

Use the super jetpack rings to boost onto the large, rusty pipes on the runway’s other side.

Drop onto the tightrope, and as you slide down, you’ll snatch this token.

Character Token 5

Reward: Garbage Man

To earn this upstanding sanitation worker, you’ll need to do some painting. You can find the yellow color swapper in this garage.

Paint the four silver troughs on the island to unlock this token.

The character token appears next to the garages by the runway once you’re finished.

Character Token 6

Reward: Jenny Rathbone

Go to the runway, and use the “Points of Interest” section to help you reach the roof of the building next to the garages. You’ll find a chicken symbol here.

Chicken-glide to the roof of the garage.

Walk across the beam to reach the character token.

Coffee Break 1 Completed

Reward: Gold brick

Find the broken fuse box in front of this garage. Fix it and the garage door opens.

This provides you a chance to step inside and take a coffee break while no one’s looking.

Coffee Break 2 Completed

Reward: Gold brick

This one can be tricky to spot. It’s located toward the back of the Space Center, on the left side, under an overhang. Look for the orange traffic cone.

Disguise Booth

Reward: Gold brick, “Brantford Cubbery” character token

The disguise booth is next to the front gate of the island.

District Conquered

Reward: Gold brick

You’ll find this toward the front of the Space Center roof. See the “Points of Interest” section to find out how to reach the top of the Space Center.

Drill Thrill Completed

Reward: Gold brick

This is easy to find once you reach the top of the Space Center rooftops. See the “Points of Interest” section if you need help reaching the top.

Flowers Watered

Reward: Gold brick

If you’ve finished Story mode, then this door is already open. If not, use the robber to open the door and get inside the building.

The flower bed is at the end of the room.

Free Run

Rewards: Gold brick, “Bud Hawkins” character token

You’ll find the free run token at the top of the Space Center. Check out the “Points of Interest” section to learn how to get up there.

The free run challenge starts lower on the Space Center rooftops, at the top of the tightrope.

The free run ends when you step on a catapult pad and launch to the top of a water tower.

Gang Arrested

Reward: Gold brick

From the Space Center rooftops, run onto this catapult pad. It will launch you onto the water tower.

Here you can listen in on criminal activity. The bad guys appear behind the Space Center.

Pig Returned

Reward: Gold brick

Follow the directions to claim the “Jonlan Regnix” character token. After sliding down the tightrope, walk along this plank to the end of the pipes.

The pig is sitting here, eager to be taken to a cannon.

The cannon is nearby, on the lawn overlooking the lagoon.

Red Brick

Reward: Super Ray Gun

Go to the lil’ island. Most of the island is just a big blast door. There are four switches surrounding the door. Step on each to open the door.

Drop down and grab the red brick below.

Silver Statue Destroyed

Reward: Gold brick

After getting up onto the Space Center rooftops, head to the front of the building to find the Rex statue.

Superbuild 1: Super Satellite

Reward: Gold brick

This massive platform is tough to miss. Build a super satellite here so mankind can search for signs of alien life.

Superbuild 2: The Spinning Shuttle Programme

Reward: Gold brick, “Dutch Danish” character token

The superbuild is right in the center of the games at the astronaut carnival.

Superbuild 3: Call-in Point

Reward: Gold brick, “Wanderer” vehicle token

This superbuild is along the dirt road in front of the launch pad area.

Superbuild 4: Space Shuttle

Reward: Gold brick, “Spaceman” character token

You can build your very own space shuttle with the superbuild at the base of the launch pad. If you’ve completed Story mode, the space shuttle is already built and you’ve already collected your rewards.

Superbuild 5: Helipad

Reward: Gold brick, “UFO” vehicle token

At the top of the Space Center rooftops, walk up the final steps to find this superbuild.

Superbuild 6: Loop De Loop

Reward: Gold brick

Found in the center of the runway on the south side of Apollo Island. Once you build it, a vehicle token appears at the top of the loop de loop.

Superbuild 7: Stunt Ramp

Reward: Gold brick, “Chat Show Host” character token

You’ll find this superbuild at the end of the runway on the island’s south side.

Time Trial 1

Reward: Gold brick, “Atlas” vehicle token

This challenge is at the docks where you first arrive at Apollo Island. The water race takes you along the outer edge of the island and through its lagoon.

Time Trial 2

Reward: Gold brick, “Cocoon” vehicle token

You’ll need to open the research bunker doors to unlock this time trial. See the “Points of Interest” section to see how to open the doors. It starts at the front gate and takes you across the bumpy roads around Apollo Island.

Vehicle Token

Reward: “Wash Wagon” vehicle token

Build the loop de loop to get this token to appear. Now, grab a vehicle and head toward this beautiful construct.

Drive through the loop de loop to snag the token.
