Taking advantage of the Wii’s popularity—and the digital storefront known as WiiWare, Natsume digitally published a collection of mini-games known as Harvest Moon: My Little Shop. The game took the farming theme the series was known for and tasked players with running a small country store.

Players could choose to play as a young boy or girl in charge of tending animals, growing crops, and helping their grandparents run their store in Clover Town. Once again, the mayor was counting on you to help attract visitors to the dying little town.

Using the Wii’s famous motion controls, players operated an ice cream stand, decorated eggs, squeezed fresh juice, and tended to the many other aspects of running a shop. By purchasing seeds and animals for raising on the farm, players could ensure a healthy supply of products for use in the mini-games. Clover Town had its share of festivals—and a legend based on its namesake plant—along with a host of shops and characters. Players wanting to add decorations to the stands they set up could purchase more content through the WiiWare shop.
