Disney Infinity: Marvel Super Heroes eGuide Power Discs

Disc Types

Abilities: Circular Power Discs

Usage: Placed underneath the character on the Disney Infinity base.

The circular Power Discs provide some very powerful abilities to your characters. They can be used in both the Play Sets as well as the Toy Box Worlds. Up to two circular Power Discs can be placed under each character. These Power Discs can be divided into three different categories based on the type of ability they provide—events, costumes, and team-ups. Event discs allow characters to use a powerful type of attack after a warm-up period. Costumes change the look of a specific character and can also give an improved ability to all characters who use it. Team-ups bring in an AI-controlled character to help your character defeat nearby enemies for a limited amount of time. When these discs are placed under a character, an icon will appear under that character’s stats to show you what abilities are now equipped. For events and team-ups, a yellow circle will fill around the icon to show you when the ability is ready to be used.

Toys: Hexagonal Power Discs

Usage: Placed on the hexagonal slot on the Disney Infinity base.

Toy discs are hexagonal discs that unlock gadgets, weapons, vehicles, and more in the Toy Box Worlds. However, these toys will only appear when the hexagonal disc is on the Disney Infinity base. Remove the disc from the base and the unlocked item goes away.

Customization: Hexagonal Power Discs

Usage: Placed on the hexagonal slot on the Disney Infinity base.

These discs provide numerous ways to personalize the atmosphere of the Toy Box Worlds. Customization discs come in two different types—one that alters the Sky Theme and another that changes the Toy Box World’s textures. Changing the Sky Theme alters the sky background as well as the music to match the theme of the disc. The texture disc changes the land and terrain to create a new visual theme. While there are Sky Theme and texture discs that share a common theme, you can mix and match any sky with any texture to create your own Toy Box Worlds. Once you have used these discs to change the sky and textures, you can remove them from the base and use other hexagonal disks on the base.
