Escapee Escort
S.H.I.E.L.D. needs you to escort high-profile scientists to safety and Green Goblin’s Symbiote forces don’t want that to happen. After receiving your orders from White Tiger, fly over to the first S.H.I.E.L.D. vehicle and help the police officers in the streets control the Symbiotes. Eliminate any enemies attacking the vehicle first, then deal damage to the pipes spewing out Symbiote goo. You probably won’t be able to turn away from the vehicle long enough to destroy a pipe in a single series of attacks. Be patient and guard the vehicle first; after a few successful rounds of attacks, you’ll destroy the pipes and cut off enemies from attacking the first vehicle.
You’ll see a formation of Goblin Drones shoot after the second vehicle. Turbo after them and intercept them before they can start attacking the vehicle. One by one nail them with your blue energy bolts before dropping to the ground.
Repeat your attack pattern against the Symbiotes and goo pipes around the second vehicle. If you get into a bad situation, let loose your Nova Core area-effect attack to rip apart anything immediately around you.
Follow more Goblin Drones to the next checkpoint. As before, destroy the flying enemies first, then descend to the asphalt. Smash the Symbiotes next to the vehicle, then destroy the pipes, and finally track down any enemies off the streets that may be looking to close in on the vehicle.
Next, the vehicle drives into an ambush with a Large Symbiote. Destroy the pipes while the Large Symbiote is away from the vehicles and keep more Symbiotes from showing up. When you can concentrate your energy on the one over-sized foe, use Nova Core to obliterate any collection of Swarming Symbiotes and keep blasting at range with your bolts until the creature bursts into dozen of Sparks.
The final fight to defend the S.H.I.E.L.D. vehicle occurs at a busy intersection in front of the Daily Bugle. Two goo pipes spit out enemies in the center; a vehicle is parked at three of the four corners. You must be able to defend each vehicle and also deal enough damage to the pipes to stop the continuous Symbiote threat. For good measure, a Large Symbiote is also trying to squash you.
First things first, destroy one of the pipes with rapid-fire energy blasts. Then quickly scan the three vehicles and jet over to the one that has the most enemies. Ignore the Large Symbiote, who will be chasing you by this point, and quickly dispatch the enemies around the vehicle before moving to the next vehicle. You don’t want to stand next to any vehicle for too long or else the Large Symbiote will leap on you and catch the vehicle with massive damage too.
Keep bouncing around to the vehicles, eliminating threats. As you pass by the center of the intersection, throw some damage at the last pipe. Once you destroy the second pipe, no new Symbiotes will spawn.
So long as you can keep all three vehicles whole, you have a chance. Defeat the Large Symbiote last, after all other Symbiotes have been destroyed, and you advance to the next stage of the mission.

Co-op Combo: Nova and Iron Fist
There are three S.H.I.E.L.D. vehicles to defend. Stands to reason that two defenders are better than one, and Iron Fist’s Shou-Lao the Undying can wipe out large groups of foes at once along with Nova’s Nova Core.
Fly up to the nearby rooftop where a S.H.I.E.L.D. helicopter with the scientists begins to take off. Symbiotes arrive to stop it. Show them a little cosmic mojo and remove them from the rooftop so the helicopter can lift off.
Hop on the Sky-Cycle and tail the helicopter as it tries to escape. Goblin Drones will sweep in along the route and fire upon the weaponless copter. You must pick off each Goblin Drone before the helicopter takes too many hits.
Fly in and out of the Manhattan buildings, firing your missiles at the Goblin Drones. If you can escort the helicopter all the way to Liberty Island, the scientists escape and you can return to the mainland, knowing you saved the lives of some very important people.
The Cat’s Out of the Bag
The Sewers (Third Trip)
In this next mission, Black Cat has been captured and brought down into the sewers. Track down the sewer entrance out by the water and battle through the Symbiotes scattered about the plaza. When you’ve finally destroyed the Large Symbiote, plus any stragglers, the sewer entrance opens.
The first sewer chamber holds a big group of Symbiotes roaming about on the floor. The key, though, is to reach the platform high up above the goo wall. Fight the Symbiotes if you want, but when you’re ready to continue, use the yellow hand rails and catwalks to navigate to the high tunnel. If you choose to play Nova instead of Iron Fist, simply fly up.
Drop down through the hole in the floor of the high tunnel into the second chamber. Use Iron Fist’s lightning-quick reflexes to wipe out all the Symbiotes in the chamber. Because of his speed, Iron Fist is a great choice for all the melee battles throughout the sewers.
Climb up the yellow pole and double-jump over to the second catwalk. Pick up one of the two sonic weapons and drop back down. If you like, blow apart the goo wall leading back to the first chamber and collect a blue and an orange capsule along the way.
Charge up at the recharging station and destroy the goo wall blocking access to the next tunnel. Leave behind the sonic weapon and jump over the pipes and trenches between you and the next chamber. Symbiotes will spawn too, and you’ll have to deal with them to make it through.
You need another sonic weapon to get through the next goo wall. To obtain it, cross to the first hydraulic lift to the right and ride it up to the platform. Jump off and get on the second hydraulic lift to the top. Double-jump off the top platform and land on the catwalk that holds the sonic weapon. Pick up the sonic weapon and drop down to the ground.
Symbiotes spawn as soon as you touch the weapon. Hurry toward the hydraulic lifts and repeat your route to reach the top platform again. Drop down off the far side of the platform to land on the catwalk with the recharging station. Symbiotes will attack in front of the goo wall; however, standing next to a recharging station, you have unlimited ammo with the sonic weapon, so enemies should not be a problem.
Rip through the goo wall with the sonic weapon, then jump over the pipes and climb the yellow poles to discover the final chamber. Along the way you can smash through a barricaded side chamber for a purple capsule and an orange capsule.
Black Cat is held in a specially designed prison cell that hangs from the ceiling. Three goo tendrils hang down, attached from prison cell to goo masses on the various platform levels. You must locate the sonic weapon and destroy all the goo masses to free Black Cat.
Use the hydraulic lifts to gain access to the middle level where you’ll find the sonic weapon. Destroy the nearby goo wall for easier access to the lifts and destroy another link in the goo connections holding Black Cat prisoner.
Work your way around the chamber using the hydraulic lifts to locate the goo masses. Pull the trigger on the sonic weapon when you’re close to obliterate a goo mass.
The hardest goo mass to reach is the one up top. Take the hydraulic lifts up to the top level and smash through the barricade to discover a side tunnel that links to the far catwalk in the main chamber. Put your melee skills to work in the side tunnel, which is filled with Symbiotes. When cleared, pick up the sonic weapon, blow through the second barricade, and destroy the final goo mass.
You free Black Cat—but wait a second! It’s not Black Cat! Mysterio has cast an illusion over the whole area. You really just knocked out a whole facility of S.H.I.E.L.D. agents and broke Green Goblin out of prison. You’ve just put Green Goblin back into play, and he’s going to be an even greater menace than before.
