Training Ground
A series of Frost Giant attacks have stopped one of the subway lines and trapped civilians in the tunnels under the city. Zip over to the intersection on the far side of Avengers Plaza and look for the Frost Giant horde defending an icy pile in the street. Stay out wide and cut down Frost Giants with your shield as they converge outward. Work your way toward the icy pile until you’ve beaten all Giants.
Perform an Air Attack on the icy pile. This collapses the pile and opens access to the subway tunnel.
Destroy the Frost Giants in the tunnel and then take out the support beams to create a ramp for the oncoming train. Instead of colliding with the debris, the subway train now arcs up the ramp and out onto the street above.
Dispatch the Frost Giants that spawn on the train. It’s easier to knock them off the train one by one with your shield and take them out solo. When the last one falls, you save the civilians on the subway and complete the mission.
Pier Pressure
Captain Marvel automatically gives you this mission to save Sif from a band of Frost Giants at the completion of “Training Ground.” Head down to the harbor and you’ll spot the first band of Frost Giants out on the pier.
Be careful of falling in the water or getting knocked out into the waves. Stick to the middle of the pier as you battle and try to use Mjolnir to destroy the floating Security Drones and any enemies at range. In close, Thor can combo hand-to-hand moves or blast a small radius of foes with Lightning Strike.

Co-op Combo: Thor and Hulk
It’s a tough fight out on the pier, especially with the dangerous water so close. If you bring in another hero, try someone like Hulk who has amazing melee abilities. Hulk can jump into the thick of battle and use his Raging Roar to destroy enemy groups or pound away effectively with just his massive fists.
Sif’s Ship-Shape
The Wharf Warehouse
Nick Fury gives you this mission immediately following your battle on the pier, so you might as well stick with Thor as he continues to rescue Sif. Head inside the wharf area and throw Mjolnir at range to destroy enemies in the large interior. It’s especially helpful if you’ve built up your skills around Mjolnir, such as Mjolnir Lightning Charge and Ranged Attack Upgrade.
Move to the second half of the wharf interior and battle through the Frost Giants there. Repeat your attack pattern. Don’t let the Frost Giants swarm you, and use Mjolnir at range to pick them off. Only engage one-on-one if there is no one ready to smash you from behind.
Ice Stunt Park
Beating the second group opens the doors to the wharf’s icy exterior. Hop on a snowmobile and drive through the icy stunt park, where you can do tricks with the snowmobile while driving up and down ice walls, and collect Sparks in the red-and-white balls scattered about the course. Once you’ve had your fun, cruise to the far end of the stunt park and climb up the cliff wall in the corner.
Enter the ice tunnel and smash any ice barriers in your way. Follow the path until it opens up into a large cavern filled with Frost Giants. Fight through these Frost Giants until you reach a second set on the cavern’s far side.
Continue your smashfest on the next set of Frost Giants. When you defeat all of them, a Large Frost Giant appears. Besides being more durable than other Frost Giants, this Frost Giant can hurl ice boulders and clap his hands together to send out an icy shock wave that will paralyze you for several seconds if you get caught in the wave.
Charge up Mjolnir and start smacking the Large Frost Giant with ranged attacks. Avoid boulder throws and fly to the air when you see an icy shock wave, or back out of the way so as not to get caught in its path. Don’t take the Large Frost Giant on face to face. If you want to throw down with him in hand-to-hand, dodge to one side and hit him with a combo from the side or from behind. Eventually you’ll deal enough damage to shatter him apart.
You’ll reach Sif up the ledge and through the tunnel beyond the Large Frost Giant. She fills you in on what Loki has been up to. He has been putting together items to build the Casket of Ancient Winters, which, if completed, will coat the world in eternal ice. Sif also joins you as a mission giver for a series of side missions. To acknowledge your hard work, Fury rewards you with the Snowmobile, which you can call upon at any S.H.I.E.L.D. transportation request station.
