A.I.M. to Destroy
See Captain Marvel for your first Crossover Coin mission as Nova. She needs you to take out M.O.D.O.K.’s Security Drones about the city, which are spying on S.H.I.E.L.D. and causing general mayhem. Fly to the first objective marker and engage the floating Drones in the street.
Stay in the air and weave back and forth as you send blue energy bolts back at the Security Drones. You have eight to blast out of the sky. Keep them all in front of you, so none get a surprise attack off on you. Hovering higher than them can give you the advantage of being able to fire on them while they readjust to get the right angle on you. After a little back and forth you’ll shortly have your first victory as Nova in the Marvel’s The Avengers Play Set.
M.O.D.O.K. Stalk
Your first successful mission drove M.O.D.O.K.’s Security Drones on the run. Chase the remaining group around the city and destroy them. Follow the yellow objective marker to the first group hovering above the street. As with your first mission, weave back and forth, avoiding Drone fire, as you return fire to destroy them. If you can get them close together, try using your Nova Core unique ability to destroy multiple Drones at once.
Chase after the second and third Drone groups as you did the first. If you’re careful and accurate with your bolts, the hunks of metal will be molten slag before you break a sweat.
Getting a Head
Recommended Hero: Nova
Security Drones ambush you before Captain Marvel can even congratulate you on your last mission. You’ll be swarmed by loads of M.O.D.O.K.’s Security Drones, but don’t panic. Fly up and out of the ambush and then get all the Drones in front of you. By now you’ve had plenty of practice with Nova’s Energy Blasts, and if you’ve had a chance to upgrade to Dual Energy Blasts, you’ll be twice as effective.
Weave back and forth, dart up and down, as you pick the Drones off one by one. When the final one plummets, Captain Marvel and the rest of the Avengers swoop in and grab M.O.D.O.K. You may have only arrived with the Avengers and carried out three missions, but know that you were responsible for capturing Loki’s partner in crime, M.O.D.O.K.
