Captured Captain
Luke Cage gives Hulk a side mission close to home. Captain Marvel has been captured a block away down by the bridge. Run over to the tunnels under the bridge and fetch the sonic weapon first.
Use the sonic weapon, if you like, to blast the surrounding Symbiotes to smithereens. If you do, be sure to charge the sonic weapon up at the recharge station on the nearby wall.
Of course, Hulk’s fists are fearsome too, and he’s perfectly capable of bashing Symbiotes with his bare knuckles. Clear the Symbiotes away from the tunnel in front of Captain Marvel’s cell long enough to destroy the goo wall with the sonic weapon.
S.H.I.E.L.D. is happy to have their agent back when you finally free Captain Marvel. Return to Luke Cage because he’s got two more side missions that require muscle—lots and lots of green muscle.
Traffic Trouble
A S.H.I.E.L.D. convoy is headed out and needs a big, green bodyguard to see it safely through. Follow the yellow objective marker to the convoy vehicle and smash through the Symbiotes on the scene.
Destroy the goo pipe the first chance you get to prevent Symbiote reinforcements from spawning. You don’t want to abandon the vehicle to do so; however, Hulk’s Roar can demolish the pipe and the surrounding Symbiotes in a single, mighty attack.
Follow the vehicle to the second roadblock. As with the first, clear the goo pipe from the road, but only remove it when Symbiotes aren’t attacking the vehicle directly.
Continue on to a third roadblock. The vehicle will reach there before you, so Charge in and wipe out the Symbiotes on either side of the vehicle first. Once the vehicle is safe, lumber up the street and pound the goo pipe until it’s pulverized into useless scrap.
The last battle takes place at the base of the bridge. When you finally flatten the goo pipe and annihilate all the Symbiotes in the area, the convoy motors over the bridge and out of town safe and sound.
Tower Assault
Your final Hulk crossover mission sends the muscle-bound Avenger up to the rooftops to defend an important S.H.I.E.L.D. radar station. The first Symbiote wave will already be assaulting the station when you arrive. Jump into the fray immediately and start swinging. Clear the enemies away from the station as quickly as possible. Don’t stay on one enemy too long; knock them away and stay near the station until all is quiet.
That quiet does not last. More waves of Symbiotes will jump down off the upper roof, and after more fisticuffs, a Large Symbiote spawns to take Hulk on. Unlike other heroes that want to stay back and use ranged attacks against the Large Symbiote, Hulk is made to go head first at the beast. Out-slug the creature and the victory is yours.
Hulk has helped S.H.I.E.L.D. stay in the tech race with the Green Goblin. Since he’s already in Spider-Man’s neighborhood, feel free to use Hulk’s destructive talents against other Symbiote threats that may take a little more muscle than brains.
